Food Review: Yomenya Goemon‏ at The Star Vista

The Place With more than 2500 outlets in Japan, Yomenya Goemon offers Japanese style Pasta and Pizza. With the emphasis on using fresh ingredients (Spaghetti, Olive Oil & Cheese) imported from Italy, it is no wonder why Yomenya Goemon is so popular in Singapore, not to mention the fact that the Pasta is extremely value for money.

The Food I had the Carbonara Chili Tomato Sauce with Bacon ($12.90) which I think is very appetising due to the tinge of spiciness in the pasta. The serving of the pasta is quite big, which makes it all the more a very value for money deal. I must also profess that the ingredients used are very fresh, and that Yomenya Goemon prides itself as having a “Cook-on-Order” principle to ensure customers that the food served is freshly made at all times.
Do not be surprised if you do not find any fork for your pasta, as this Japanese joint adopts the style of eating your pasta with chopsticks!

Other than this, we managed to try some other Pastas as well.

Mediterranean Tomato Cream Soup Spaghetti with Fresh Seafood ($13.50) – On first look, the pasta resembles Singapore’s very own Laksa. The seafood ingredients such as mussels and prawns are extremely fresh, and the cream soup base is very tasty as well.

Smoked Chicken and Four Cheeses ($13.50) – For fans of cheese and pasta in cream sauce, this is a good recommendation to go along.

Hokkaido Cream Soup Spaghetti with Scallop, Corn & Potato ($13.50) – A healthier alternative as compared to the rest of the pastas above, this cream soup pasta lives up to the reputation of Yomenya Goemon as well.

Will I Return Again? Yes. The value for money and high quality pasta is irresistible.
