Snippets: Pan Pacific Singapore introduces new Peranakan and English High-Tea sets | By Atrium and Pacific Marketplace
What’s new: High-teas are the best time to indulge in some afternoon snacks while catching up with family and friends. Pan Pacific Singapore has launched a brand new Peranakan and English Afternoon Tea menus at the Atrium and Pacific Marketplace at its lobby level, to showcase two vastly different classic afternoon tea treats.
Peranakan Afternoon Tea highlights: If you love traditional Peranakan Kuehs and dishes, it is almost a must to choose the Peranakan Afternoon Tea Menu, which comes with traditional favourites such as Nyonya Kueh Pie Tee, Traditional Penang Popiah and Apam Balik. My favourite was the Traditional Nyonya Chicken Curry, where its rich gravy goes well with the accompanying French Baguette. For the sweet treats, look out for the Rainbow Kueh, Kueh Seri Muka, double-layered steamed glutinous rice topped with pandan custard and Dried Shrimp with Coconut Pulut Panggang, a lightly grilled glutinous rice roll wrapped with fragrant shrimp filling.
English Afternoon Tea highlights: The colourful buns certainly stand out in this three-tier set. Savoury treats include the Charcoal Bun with Smoked Salmon, Beetroot Bun with Crab Meat and Avocado and the classic Dark Raisin Scones with dollops of fresh clotted cream and jam. For sweet delights, I like the Lemon Meringue Tart, but you will not miss the Almond Florentine Tuile, Caramel Croquembouche and assorted macarons.
The price: The Peranakan and English Afternoon Tea menus are available daily at the Atrium and Pacific Marketplace from 2:00pm to 6:00pm, at $38++ per person with coffee and tea, $58++ per person with a glass of Laurent-Perrier Champagne, $68++ per person with a glass of Laurent-Perrier Rosé Champagne.

Peranakan High Tea? Sounds like a Miracle Kueh to me! 😉 Pan Pacific is a good hotel in SG, I have always been impressed by their food offerings.
