Food Review: Chihuly Lounge at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore | Weekend Afternoon Tea Buffet indulgence
The Place Well-known for its High Tea, I checked out Chihuly Lounge at The Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore some time back during the weekend. The setting of Chihuly Lounge is very open, located near the lift lobby of the hotel where guests access their rooms. The ambience is comfortable, with mainly sofa seating wit nice natural light through toys pearl-white ceiling.
The Food At S$58++ per adult, it is a High Tea buffet style on weekends while it is a 8-course Afternoon Tea affair on weekdays. You can pretty much expect the usual sandwiches, cold canapés, hot savoury items and desserts. In addition, we had a welcome cocktail and we also had the option of choosing a tea or coffee.
In general, I would say the sandwiches such as croissant topped with caviar and smoked chicken sandwich fared much better than its savoury items. The Hot savoury spread was quite limited during my visit and didn’t leave much of an impression, as compared to the High Tea Buffet at Tea Lounge in Regent Singapore (read our full review here).
That said, the dessert spread was far more promising than the savoury dishes. I love the chocolate tart.
Rants The open seating arrangement does leave limited privacy for diners if you are planning to have a secret rendezvous.
Will I Return Again? For its price, my dining companions and I thought that the standard of the food at Chihuly Lounge was decent though not exceptional. Nevertheless, the ambience is great and it is a cosy and relaxing spot to catch up with friends. As compared to the Afternoon Tea I had at Colony previously (read our full review here), I was more impressed with Colony.
