The Place Bangkok’s Nana Coffee Roasters is the one of the most hyped up cafés in the city right now. Located in the heart of Yaowarat, Chinatown near Hua Lamphong train station, the 3-storey shophouse café is tucked away at a small, rustic lane decorated with plenty of flowers at its entrance. Indeed, level one of the building is dedicated to florist brand One Day Wallflower, while Nana Coffee Roaster takes the space at the back of the house as well as levels 2 and 3.

The café was packed during my visit, spending about 15 minutes waiting for a table. I really love the whole vibe of Nana Coffee Roasters the moment I stepped in. The whole space retains a very rustic charm, with a semi-glass ceiling where natural light pierce through effortlessly. Taking the spiral stairway up is like a beautiful visual tour – don’t be surprised to see people taking modelish shots of themselves!

Level 3 is the main dining space of the cafe, split into two sections – one part is a communal table and bar table where you can watch the baristas in action, while the other section is where you get to enjoy some natural light in the day. There is also a spiral stairway which leads to the roof garden, which is too hot for comfort in the day.

I feel that I can stay here all day to read a book and sip coffee, less the incessant crowd in an ideal world. The gorgeous space is indeed a mood lifter for me.

The Food The highlight of Nana Coffee Roasters is the coffee, which is by  award-winning barista Warong Chalanuchpong. There are many varieties of coffee to enjoy such as cold brew, V60, espresso and the usual latte or flat white. The is no solid food menu yet, but you can still get a good variety of cakes to go along with your coffee.

We tried both the Ice Latte (130 Baht) and Hot Latte (130 Baht). The coffee has a nice medium body which is easy to drink yet it packs much punch if you are in need of caffeine.

Rants The cafe is very packed during my visit, and I find the seating space to be too squeezy for comfort.

Will I Return Again? Nana Coffee Roasters stands out from other cafes I been to in Bangkok for its vintage industrial interior, which is definitely an instagrammer’s or photographer’s heaven. Great coffee and beautiful space, this is one gorgeous cafe in Bangkok to check out.
