Food Review: Assembly Coffee
The Place Opened just few months ago, Assembly Coffee joined Hatched along Evans Road as a café serving brunch and coffee. I was quite surprised that it is so packed even on a weekday afternoon with mostly tertiary students. It is a fairly small place so expect to wait for seats on weekends.
The Food The coffee at Assembly is made from the Liberty Coffee beans which seems to be synonymous with quality coffee these days. The food menu is expected to change from time to time but there are some staples such as waffles and the Pulled Pork sandwich.
The Café Latte ($4.50) is quite good if you like your coffee strong, with some pretty latte art.
The Café Mocha ($5) on the other hand, feels a little diluted as compared to the latte.
Rants It would be better if there is a stronger theme to the café, as well as more comfortable and cosy layout and seats.
Will I return again? The coffee is great but I feel that it is not cosy and chill-able enough. Given the rather out of the way location, I may skip this café in future. Otherwise, it may well be a good idea to have brunch at Hatched and hop over to Assembly for some good coffee.
