Hotel Review: Humble House Taipei, Curio Collection by Hilton | Great Location In Xinyi District, Underwhelming Service
The Hotel For my trip to Taipei this year, I stayed at the Humble House Taipei, Curio Collection by Hilton. The Hilton Honours property is ideally located in the heart of the Xinyi District, one of Taipei’s most vibrant and upscale areas. Surrounded by luxury shopping malls, cultural venues, and iconic landmarks like Taipei 101, the hotel offers both convenience and sophistication.

The lobby is located on level 6, and my check-in process was relatively long unfortunately.

The Room The guest rooms at Humble House Taipei are spacious, thoughtfully designed, and well-equipped for both business and leisure travelers. Each room features contemporary furnishings, large windows with city views, and a neutral color palette.
The beds are plush and comfortable, and the bathrooms are sleek, with high-quality amenities and rainfall showers. Some rooms offer views of Taipei 101.
As I stayed at the hotel on two separate weekends, I managed to check out two different room categories.
The Premier Room is a spacious 36 square meters which spots a simple yet elegant design. I must say it is very cosy and I like how it feels when I entered the room.

Upon entering the room is the walk-in closet and dressing room, as well as the minibar with Nespresso pixie coffee machine.
The bedroom section features Sealy Bed and a big work desk, along with charging points on one side of the bed. It is a pity that it is not available on both sides of the bed.

The highlight for me is the bathroom which comes with a bathtub by the window and a spacious standalone shower. Unfortunately, there is no double vanity sink, and the view of the bathtub is not great as it overlooks the office buildings.

The other room category I stayed was the Deluxe Room with Landmark View which is at 26 square meters. The highlight is definitely the view of Taipei 101.

It is a decent size, and the main difference is that the bathroom is much smaller than the Premier Room with a smaller bathtub as well. There is also no separate walk-in closet and dressing room as opposed to the Premier Room.

The Facilities The hotel boasts a range of facilities, and one of the highlights for me is the rooftop swimming pool with panoramic views of the city skyline, including Taipei 101.

The fitness center is located on level 8 and is not big, but decent. There is only one bench for workout which is a pity.

There is also a garden terrace on the same level as the pool on level 7.
I didn’t get to try, but there is also a spa facility if you want to go for some treatments.
The Restaurants La Farfalla offers refined Italian cuisine, and this is also where breakfast takes place. The breakfast buffet is a mix of Western and Asian options, with a live egg station and Taiwanese delights such as braised dishes, soybean milk, and more.

Adjacent to La Farfalla is The Terrace which is an open concept bar where you can also get light refreshments and drinks all-day.

Rants Service is one of the most underwhelming aspects of the hotel for me. While the staff gets the job done, my main gripe is the lack of personal touches and the weak acknowledgement of Hilton Diamond benefits. Late checkout was not granted (I do understand it is always subject to the property’s availability), but still it was not very pleasant.
My bill was also messed up where I was charged twice for the same booking. In short, the service was rigid.
Overall Experience The best part of Humble House for me is the location which is great if you love shopping. The room is very cosy and well-appointed, though the inflexible service of the team in general was the main drawdown for me.
