Food Review: Wild Honey @ Scotts Square

The Place Since it opened a few years back, Wild Honey seems to be synonymous with Brunch as it is inevitably the first brunch place to come to most of our minds. The only reason I can think of is the wide selection of various styles of brunch, from English to Tunisian to Carribean and many more. I prefer the branch at Scotts Square over Mandarin Gallery, as it feels much more spacious and less pretentious than the outlet in Mandarin Gallery.
The Food There are over 10 different styles of breakfast of breakfast on the menu which pretty much leaves any first comer lost and spoilt for choice as every description sounds so exotic and enticing.

I have heard so much about the Eggs Benedict at Wild Honey that I am determined to try it myself, which means I am eliminating the likes of the typical and predictable English Breakfast.

I had the European ($18) which is in my opinion is really Eggs Benedict at its best and purest form. Two poached eggs rest on the toast with spinach in between. The eggs are almost cooked perfectly as I observed the graceful rate the egg yolk runs with a tiny poke of my knive. The hollandaise sauce is totally savoury as well, which rivals the Eggs Benedict I tried at Jones the Grocer.
For salmon and eggs lovers, the Norwegian smoked salmon Eggs Benedict ($26) is not to be missed. Topped with avocado and grilled asparagus, this is almost like the healthiest breakfast you can ever have. Rants The waiting time at Wild Honey is notoriously long, so the best bet is always to make an online reservation.

Will I return again? It is definitely one of the better quality brunch places around in Singapore, given that I am pretty convinced that its Eggs Benedict is one of the best though probably second to Jones the Grocer. I am always tempted to order the European again the next time round, even though I should really try the other countries as well.
