Snippets: PasarBella Singapore (Updates)
This is part 1 of our visit to PasarBella as tRP could not wait to check out Singapore’s first farmers’ market. It was a bustling affair over the weekend at PasarBella as curious food fanatics throng the 30,000 square feet food market. From seafood, sushi, French crepes, gourmet coffee, organic market, cheese selection, wines, ice-cream… there is almost something for everyone.
The Oceans of Seafood is one of the main highlights at PasarBella as you pick and choose your own seafood and decide on the way you want it to be cooked. The frying method is not available here so that patrons can enjoy the freshness of the seafood. I am excited to hear that some of the fishes are directly imported from Tokyo’s Tsukiji Market!
Limited counter seats are available for those who want a slice of the fresh sashimi or sushi.
There are a few wine and beer stalls for the alcoholic junkies, which includes free wine sampling of course.
The 1872 Clipper Tea is one of the stall which fascinated tRP as this is the first Clipper Tea’s standing tea bar.
Take your pick from the wide selection of tea, which you can sample some flavours as well.
We decided to try the Iced tea topped with teh-tarik ice cream ($7).
It is a shame that we did not try any of the food stalls on our first visit, but rest assured that we will be back with more food reviews from PasarBella.
Till then, keep calm and carry food!
