Food Review: Hyde & Co. | Cosy cafe along North Bridge Road

The Place Opened merely few months ago in the Kampung Glam district along North Bridge Road, we checked out Hyde & Co., an English-themed cafe which has a white and minimalist design and look. This seemed to be a rather popular theme these days, which we have noticed at Pacamara Boutique Coffee Roasters at Upper Thomson Road as well. The cafes sits a comfortable 50 people, which I would say is a fairly decent seating capacity.
IMG_2876eIMG_2831e IMG_2840The Food As an English theme café, the tea selection here is one of the highlights at Hyde & Co. We heard that the café sources its own tea from an Australian supplier, so be rest assured that the tea would probably be a brand you have not tried previously. As for the coffee, it is sourced from one of the local coffee roasters. Other than the brunch menu, we also spotted a Tapas menu which includes fares such as Buffalo Wings glazed with House special Thai sauce and Bacon wrapped Pumpkin with Pineapples skewer.
IMG_2827I went long with The Full Works ($17.90) which came with grilled cheese Portobello mushroom, Bratwurst, streaky bacon, roasted baby potatoes served with Hyde’s creamy scrambled eggs and a slice of freshly-baked sourdough rye its and homemade crumpets. Crumpets are classic English fare, which has a texture of the hybrid of scones and muffins, all homemade at Hyde & Co. My favourite was the cheesy and gigantic Portobello mushroom, which was juicy to the bits. The scrambled eggs was cheesy enough for my liking as well, so was the crispy bacon.
IMG_2863I didn’t manage to try the wide tea selection this time as I much needed a coffee fix. So it was the hot Café Latte ($5.50) for me, which was not too bad a selection, especially with the beautiful latte art.
IMG_2838 IMG_2860eRants The location is not the most convenient given that it is not exactly near to any train station. Rainy days will be tricky.

Will I return again? No service charge? Check. This is a nice cosy café to laze the weekend away and simply chill. Will definitely try the tea on my next visit.

  2. Hi, I noticed some mistakes on the post at the last part where Pacamara Boutique Coffee Roaster was written instead of Hyde & Co. Just thought to give you a heads up on this to prevent any confusion for others who came to see the review 🙂
