Food Review: Kwee Zeen at Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa | It’s a magnificent Magnifique Sunday Champagne Brunch buffet
The Place After a S$40million revamp, Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa opens to the delight of many. Despite being an island, Singapore lacks resorts-style hotels, with the special few all located on the sun-loving island in Sentosa. Even though it can be a hassle to travel into Sentosa, it is all worthwhile in the name of checking out one of the newest Sunday Champagne Brunch buffet in town.
Kwee Zeen is part of our list of 8 Sunday Brunch Buffets in Singapore you should not miss.

Right by the entrance of the hotel sits Kwee Zeen (Read: Cuisine), the buffet restaurant of the resort. Kwee Zeen restaurant is magnificent, trust us. Serving buffet and semi-buffet sets throughout the day, the Pandas visited this magnificently-looking place for its Magnifique Sunday Champagne Brunch!

Just be warned, make very sure to grab an indoor table. Unless you love the outdoors, be prepared to sweat a tad too much for a comfortable brunch.
The Food With 16 stations to select from, you get to enjoy live stations dishing out delectable spreads from foie gras to local delights, including our favourite Roti Prata.
The cheese selections are amazing with more than 30 varieties to choose from; not forgetting the dry-cured meats section as well.

The most impressive part of the buffet is its seafood spread. From lobsters, to a wide array of oysters (Irish, Canada, New Zealand, French) or the ubiquitous sashimi counter, where I will highly recommend you to try the Marinated Coffee Salmon – very unique, with the right balance of coffee flavour infused in the salmon.

Crab-lovers, just make sure you make Kwee Zeen your next stop. With chilled crabs including Mud Crab, Brown Crab, Dungeness Crab and Tourteax Crab, you can absolutely enjoy an all-crab indulgence here. Just look at the luscious crab roe!

Other noteworthy live stations include the meats counter, together with other French fares to entice your palate.

And if you think you have not sinned enough yet, the foie gras station will likely get you there. I love foie gras prepared à la minute.

Head outdoors for the Asian fares, from live noodles stations to Indian selections. You must try the Roti Prata and curry here, surprisingly better than even some of our neighbourhoods’ stalls!

Just be sure to save some space for the handcrafted truffles. While there is a wide assortment of flavours here, the pastry chef highly recommended us to try the Durian and Cempedak truffles.

The Magnifique Sunday Champagne Brunch is available every Sunday from 1230pm to 330pm, at $168 per adult with free-flow Tattinger Champagne, wine and non-alcoholic drinks. If you are nursing a hangover or you decide to skip drinks (why should you ever though?!), the Sunday Brunch is at $138 per adult with free-flow soft drinks and juices. For the young (5 to 11 years), it is at $58 per child, with free-flow soft drinks and juices as well.

By the way, did I not mention that for all Brunch-ers at Kwee Zeen, you can enjoy a dip at the resort’s pool till 7pm as well?
Rants The outdoor seats became unbearable for us even before the meal started. There must be ways to cool the place down a little more, and perhaps to shield parts of it from the glaring sun.
Will I Return Again? If you are a seafood lover, or rather, if you love food and can’t resist the idea of free-flow champagne, I am sure Kwee Zeen is a must try for you.
