Snippets: Seasonal Tastes at The Westin Singapore | A Crab-tivating dinner buffet with a view
What’s buzzing? If you love your seafood, especially crabs, Seasonal Tastes at The Westin Singapore is currently running a Crab-tivating dinner theme with a play on crab dishes other than its usual seafood staples. Food aside, this is probably one of the rare buffet restaurants where you can get a splendid view of Singapore’s skyline at level 32.
What’s crabby? The special crab dishes will be available every evening on a rotation basis – Steamed Crab with Golden Garlic, Deep-fried Crab with Salted Egg Yolk, Yellow Curry Crab, Crab with Spicy Sour Plum Sauce, Singapore Chili Crab with Mantous and Wok-fried Crab with Coriander Seeds, Bell Pepper and Onions.
Other highlights The Catch of The Day features dishes such as Whole Baked Snapper with Squid and Clams in Chili Paste, Whole Steamed Snapper with Ginger, Salted Beans and Clams and Whole Baked Salmon, alongside a ‘live’ carving station serving up Roasted Crispy Pork Belly, Bone-in Pork Loin, Roasted Striploin and Slow-roasted Rib-eye with Lobster Stuffing, among others. This will be on rotation basis. In addition, there is also a ‘live’ grilling station which includes the likes of Lobster, Salmon Teriyaki, Tiger Prawns, Calamari and Scallop, on top of mainstays such as Turkish Lamb Kebabs, Rosemary Beef, Pork Loin and Chili-marinated Chicken Breast.

I am expressing my disappointment with Seasonal Taste Management. It was published on the website that complimentary parking coupon will be issued for specific timing however when requested I was told each table only limit to 2 coupon. Our table have 9 pax and few of us are driving, 2 coupons is definitely not sufficient for our table. Even I spoke to the manager in charge and requested for one additional parking coupon, I was being declined. Please kindly state clearly on your website if each table is only restricted to 2 parking coupon. In addition it must also depend on how many pax is dining to exercise some flexibility.

Rebecca, hope the meal was ok for you and your friends though! Probably good for them and of course for diners to clarify this with the restaurant during our reservations – since the parking voucher will be a cost to the restaurant as well. But yes, agreed that they should be stating this upfront on their website. Meanwhile, have a good countdown for 2016!
