The Hotel With Perennial Real Estate Holdings (“Perennial”) taking over full ownership of Capitol Singapore earlier this year, we have been awaiting news of the much-delayed opening of the hotel wing in the integrated project. Initially proposed to be launched as Patina Capitol Singapore, with plans scrapped as with Pontiac Land Group exit, Perennial announced today on the appointment of Kempinski Hotels S.A. to operate The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore.
This will be Kempinski Hotel’s first hotel in Singapore, joining the group’s 75 other five-star hotels globally in 33 countries. Many of us will be familiar with the brand’s signature properties in Indonesia (Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta), Thailand (Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok) and Turkey (Çırağan Palace Kempinski Istanbul), and their entry into Singapore with the restored Capitol Building and Stamford House in Singapore’s downtown Civic District is an exciting proposition.
Highlights Full range of services by The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore will be available by end of this year, with the hotel itself expected to welcome its first guests by September 2018. With 157 guest rooms and suites, this will be Kempinski’s flagship property in Singapore.
A Michelin-starred chef is expected to helm an international restaurant in the hotel, with other Kempinski’s selection of food and beverage options to be opened at the Galleria; the sheltered promenade of Capitol Piazza, with Capitol Theatre amidst this.
The residents of Eden Residences Capitol will also be enjoying bespoke concierge and personalised services provided by The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore.
Kempinski Hotel is a founding member of the Global Hotel Alliance (“GHA”), the world’s largest alliance of independent hotel brands. Familiar brands such as Pan Pacific, Parkroyal and brands under the Minor Hotels group are apart of the GHA.
How to get here Just minutes walk from City Hall MRT Station, where the North-South Line and East-West Line interchanges, The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore is located at the restored Capitol Building and Stamford House of the Capitol Singapore integrated project.
