Food Scoops: 6 New Coffee Spots For Your Caffeine Dose In Singapore | From Anther By Glasshouse To The Bravery
Anther By Glasshouse
You can get their coffee at Starter Lab as well, and the newest space of Anther by Glasshouse is located with Angie’s Oyster Bar & Grill at Tan Boon Liat Building. There are two menus served here, Angie’s Oyster Bar menu and a separate menu for the pastries and coffee by Anther By Glasshouse. We love the coffee where we had the Long Black and Flat White, and paired it with a croissant and lemon pound cake. Beautiful indoor and outdoor space if you need a break after some furniture shopping.

Culture Spoon
This is not a usual cafe operating model. Located at River Valley, the new Culture Spoon is a multi-concept space where a couple of F&B brands come together to offer a very diverse cafe menu. We had some of the bakes from Cultured Backyard and coffee by Quarter Life Coffee, amongst others.

The Bravery
One of the early players in the cafe scene, The Bravery has moved from Lavender to a new space at 50 Amoy Street. The 2-storey shophouse space is a nice switch from its predecessor, and a great addition for causal brunch fares and coffee in the CBD.

Glass Roasters x Gelatolabo
I last visited its Faber Drive outlet few months ago, and the great news is that a new cafe space in Mohamed Sultan Road has opened for Gelatolabo & Glass Roasters. The former offers a wide range of gelato flavours (I had the pistachio and hazelnut which can’t go wrong), and pair it with coffee from Glass Roasters.
Address: 18 Mohamed Sultan Road, 01-01, Singapore 238967
Necessary Provisions
One of a strong contender in the cafe scene in Upper Bukit Timah at Eng Kong Terrace previously, Necessary Provisions closed back in 2018 and I am happy to see the familiar cafe brand reopened few days ago along Tanglin Road. The new space of Necessary Provisions is tucked within SmartFit Pilates Singapore, a pilates studio, in a soothing earthy and wooden tones for its interior. Though the cafe space is not big, the menu is relatively decent, as there are cooked food options other than some of the bakes on display at the counter. [Read more here…]

Juparo Coffee
Located at The Poiz Centre in Potong Pasir, Jurapo Coffee is a much needed cafe in this estate which has evolved greatly in the last few years. A small cafe space facing Serangoon Road, the food menu is extensive where you can expect the likes of pasta and avo toast. Otherwise, go for its artisanal coffee.
