Hotel Review: The Westin Singapore, Deluxe King Room Review | Gorgeous Hotel Lobby And Infinity Pool With Sea View

The Hotel As one of the Marriott Bonvoy properties in Singapore, The Westin Singapore occupies levels 32 to 46 of Asia Square Tower 2 commercial development in Marina Bay, located the heart of Singapore’s bustling financial district. The lobby of the hotel is one of the highest in town, located on level 32 and offers a high ceiling and a beautiful view of the city, port and sea.

The Room There are a total of 305 rooms and suites, and my recent stay was at the Deluxe King room as I managed to snag a pretty good rate during the hotel’s 12.12 sales. My first thought is that the interior of the room is slightly dated. It is decked in earthy shades of cream and brown with floor-to-ceiling windows. This is a business hotel at heart, and I much prefer the contemporary design of Andaz Singapore when it concerns the rooms.

That said, the room is fairly spacious for an entry level room at 40sqm/430sqft-50sqm/538sqft size. The most signature aspect of Westin is their signature Heavenly® Beds, and I did have a pretty decent rest. It is also convenient to have the bedside control panel to control the lighting, and the rest of the room features like an ergonomic work chair, coffee machine, HDTV are all very standard room amenities.

The highlight is not the bedroom, but the bathroom. Lovely marble bathroom with freestanding tubs and a very spacious rainforest shower area which can easily fit five people, I’m not ranting about the ample space. The strength of the shower water is strong as well, something which I can’t take for granted.

The Facilities The best spot of the property is the outdoor infinity pool on level 35 for me.

It overlooks the sea, the city skyline and it is very breezy. A perfect spot for some suntanning.

The 24h Westin Workout Fitness Studio also comes with a view of the sea and is quite well-equipped for weights or resistance training.

Heavenly Spa is also located on the same level and hotel guests are also able to book a slot fo the indoor jacuzzi. The dip pool is small, but soaking in the warm water feels surreal.

The Restaurants Seasonal Tastes offers a wide selection of contemporary international and local flavours, and is also the space where breakfast is served, including lunch and dinner buffets.

Other notable dining concepts include Cook & Brew and Lobby Lounge.

The former is a gastro-bar concept with a mix of local and western delights, while the Lobby Lounge is the space for Afternoon Tea and evening drinks.

Rants As a city hotel, there are limited dining options in the near vicinity especially in the morning if your room doesn’t come with breakfast. As with most hotels I have stayed so far, leaving the booking of the facilities to the eleventh hour may not guarantee you a slot. Do note that complimentary parking for guests is only available on weekend stays, excluding weekdays.

Overall Experience Great infinity pool in the city for sure, and the spacious rooms and grand lobby make The Westin Singapore a pleasant experience for me. The downside is probably the dining concepts for me which do not stand out much in terms of quality as compared to other hotels.
