Food Review: Gourmet Park Kampong Bugis Pop-Up | Pet-Friendly Space With 5 Dining Concepts From The Goodburger To Meatsmith

The Place Taking over the space of what used to be Raw Kitchen Bar/Camp Kilo, Gourmet Park Kampong Bugis Pop-up is a new dining concept which brings together a diverse mix of 5 homegrown brands. Conceived by the same team behind The Goodburger, it is located on the ground floor of the building surrounded by greenery. The group also plans to hold chef collaborations, grill-outs and other happenings periodically.

The space is pretty much alfresco dining, surrounded by much greenery. It is also pets-friendly if you have a furry kid to tag along with you.

The Food The pop-up brings together 5 brands – Breakfast by Carnaby (All day British comforts), The Goodburger (Plant-based burgers), Quattro (Modern Pastas and Pizza), Meatsmith (Legendary American Smokehouse BBQ), and Backyard Bakers (Homemade brownies)

From Quattro, there is a selection of Neapolitan-style pizzas and pastas with a modern interpretation, where I had the Garlic Prawn (S$30) which is quite decent. Pasta options include the likes of Carbonara (S$22) and the Spaghetti Meatballs (S$26).

From Meatsmith, I had the Pork Belly Burnt Ends (S$13) as I just wanted a small plate to nimble on. You get a good proportion of fatty pork meat here if it is your kind of thing.

I also had a burger from The Goodburger which is known for its plant-based burgers. The burgers are served on a metal tray with fries where The Classic (S$16) I had is juicy and it tastes like the real deal.

For desserts, I had Sticky Date Pudding (S$12) from Backyard Bakers which is sinful but good. Served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Drinks wise, there are garden inspired cocktails to choose from the cocktail menu which include signatures like the Garden of Eden, Gincello and Kampong B Mojito (all S$22).

Rants No air-conditioning, since it is pretty much al fresco.

Will I Return Again? If you fancy the idea of an outdoorsy dining with a group of friends in a chill-lax ambience, Gourmet Park Kampong Bugis fits the bill for a casual dining spot. Head here for the vibes and food is secondary.

This was an invited tasting, though all opinions expressed are our own.
