Food Review: Stella Seaside Lounge At Changi | Hidden Beach Club Vibes In Singapore Within NSRCC Sea Sports Centre

The Place Located within the premises of NSRCC Sea Sports Centre, I only managed to check out Stella Seaside Lounge recently despite being an eastie myself. This is the first beach lounge along the coast of Changi, and it is quite a novel concept in this part of Singapore since most beach clubs are in Sentosa. There is an open parking space if you are driving, though the parking rates are quite expensive.

The space of Stella Seaside Lounge is huge. There is an indoor dining space which I can only imagine will be occupied on rainy days, because the whole point of heading here is to feel the sea breeze in your face.

There are different zones here, such as the seaside deck, infinity area, outdoor deck, sheltered alfresco, daybeds and sofa lounges.

There is also a designated pet-friendly zone if you have furry kids to bring along.

All the reservations are based on a 2.5hr dining period except for the daybeds and sofas which are based on 3hr slots on weekends and public holidays. And as you can imagine, there are also various minimum spends depending on what you want to go for.

I had the Sofa Bed which has a minimum spend of S$150++/ Sofa on weekends, and my sofa is the closest to the sea. Expect a constant cool sea breeze and frequent planes above you.

There is a small pool in the centre of Stella Seaside Lounge which is the most popular spot most kids and adults hang out in.  The bathroom also includes shower facilities.

The Food Let’s be honest, we are not specially here for the food. That said, the food menu at Stella Seaside Lounge is very extensive and the dishes are great to share amongst a group. Choose from seafood, sharing platters, charcoal grilled dishes, burgers, pastas, and more.

I had the Triple Mushroom Soup (S$8) for a start which is quite rich.

The Barramundi with Seafood Stew (S$48) is surprisingly not too bad as it features rich prawn bisque cooked with iberico chorizo, prawns, squid, topped with josper grilled humptydoo barramundi fillet.

Another great protein for sharing is the Char-Grilled Whole Chicken 900g (S$48) which is josper grilled and you get a whole cornfed chicken. The only gripe is that you need to cut the chicken meat yourself with the accompanying scissors.

The Beer Battered Fish & Chips (S$22) is decent, where you get beer battered humpty doo barramundi slices served with fries and mayo. The portion is quite generous for the price.

Another good sharing option is the White Wine Clams (S$20) sauteed in a white wine and garlic butter broth.

I also had finger bites like Truffle Fries (S$14) and Lemongrass Wings (S$18/6 pcs) with homemade spicy dip.

For drinks, you can expect a good range of cocktails, wine list and variosu spirits. White wine by the bottle starts from S$85 where I had a bottle of Henri Bourgeois Les Baronnes Sancerre Blanc (S$108) and Watermelon Soju (S$18).

Rants If you do not mind the incessant sound of planes, the noise is manageable. Parking at NSRCC is quite pricey.  Towels are available for rent at S$3 per towel.

Will I Return Again? It is great that the far east has a pretty chillax venue right beside the sea, with an on-site pool to soak in the vibes as well. The crowd here is mainly family-centric, so you can expect adults with their kids, parents, and some pets which I spotted in the pets-friendly zone. It is not so much an adults-only vibe if that is what you prefer.

This was an invited tasting, though all opinions expressed are our own.
