The Place Located in Eunos Crescent Market and Food Centre is Eng Kee Hainanese Chicken Rice & Porridge, one of the most popular stalls in this hawker centre. This is one of the few chicken stalls in this food centre and there is typically a perpetual queue at whichever time I visit the stall. 

The good thing about this food centre is that the ventilation is quite good if you manage to grab a table at the outer section, which is where Eng Kee Hainanese Chicken Rice & Porridge is located. 

The Food The main draw is of course chicken rice and while there are so many chicken rice stalls in Singapore, this is one of those stalls I go to when I crave for a plate of chicken rice. 

Steamed white chicken and roast chicken (from S$3.50) are available and the white chicken typically gets sold out earlier if you come in the evening. Otherwise, I like to get a mix of both steamed white chicken and roast chicken to go along with my rice. 

What I really like about the chicken meat is how tender it is, and I typically get the chicken breast which tastes very good and tender.

The meat has a good mix of soy sauce for added flavour, and add on some of the mildly spicy chilli sauce and some dark soy sauce, it is delicious. 

The steamed rice is not overly greasy and while it is not the most fragrant chicken rice I have come across, I find it to be good given that the texture is less greasy (and probably healthier). 

Of course, you can also add on sides like braised egg.

Rants Be prepared to queue at least 10 to 20 minutes on average.
 
Will I Return Again? If you love chicken rice, this is a must try stall in the east.
