Hotel Review: Hilton Milan King Guest Room | Dated Property Conveniently Located Near Milan Central Station
The Hotel I checked into Hilton Milan for my trip to Italy late last year where the hotel is conveniently located just five minutes’ walk from Milan Central railway station. This is the main reason I chose to stay at Hilton Milan, as Milan Central railway station is conveniently connected to the airport and other major cities in Italy.

In terms of the hotel’s proximity to other major attractions in Milan, it is also within five kilometers of Duomo Cathedral and the Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie, home of Da Vinci’s The Last Supper.

The hotel lobby for the check-in area is not that huge, and it is also the floor where both of its dining concepts are located.

The Room I checked into the King Guest Room and was assigned a room on level six which faces the main road. The room’s layout is quite standard, where you will find the wardrobe on one side of the entrance and the bathroom on the other.

The room is carpeted, and the interior shows signs of aging. That said, there is a long work desk and a spacious sofa beside the window. In terms of size, there is ample space in the room to open two huge luggage bags.

I also appreciate the side tables at each side of the king size bed, and also charging points on both sides. That said, the mattress is also on the softer side.

The bathroom design is the most dated part of the room. Old school bathtub which proves to be slippery, dated curtains and marble top. I am not a fan of the bathroom even though it comes with Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries.

The Facilities There is a 24-hour fitness centre located at the basement of the hotel. The gym is quite a decent size, though the equipment is slightly dated with no windows since it is in the basement.

Unfortunately, there is no swimming pool in this property. For suite guests or Hilton Honours Diamond holders, there is an Executive Lounge for use.
On-site parking is also available at a daily charge if you are planning to rent a car.
The Restaurants Breakfast is served at Pacific Milano Restaurant where you can expect a buffet line. The space of the restaurant is huge, though I find the breakfast quality very average. You will still get your usual eggs station, cold cuts, salad, pastries, juices, cheeses, and more,

Located at the lobby is also CotoliAMO which specializes in Milanese cuisine. Drinks are served at The Bar where you can get Italian spirits.
Rants Dated room design and bathroom, along with a lack of swimming pool.
Overall Experience Hilton Milan is worth considering if you value convenience, especially so if you plan to connect to other parts of Italy via trains. I am not particularly impressed with the design of the room or buffet breakfast, and it is purely a practical decision for me to stay here. In terms of the luxury factor, it is a far cry from what I experienced at Hilton Lake Como in the same trip.
