Hotel Review: Hilton Melbourne Little Queen Street | Modest Boutique Sized Hilton Property In The Heart Of Melbourne City
The Hotel I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hilton Melbourne Little Queen Street, nestled in the heart of Melbourne’s vibrant CBD during my trip to Melbourne last month. It has been slightly over two years since my last visit to the coffee capital of the world, where I last stayed at the Hyatt Centric Melbourne.

The hotel’s location is 500 metres from Bourke Street Shopping Mall and key sights like The Queen Victoria Market, the National Gallery of Victoria Federation Square, and Marvel Stadium are within a 20-minute walk.

The hotel combines modern elegance with historic charm, where the hotel is situated on a charming street that offers easy access to Melbourne’s bustling shopping, dining, and cultural districts.

From the moment I walked in, the service was good, and the check-in process was smooth and efficient.

The Room I checked into the King Superior Room where the room’s interior takes on a contemporary design where it features a plush bed, a sleek bathroom and work desk, as well as a smart TV and high-speed internet.

The bed is reasonably hard with charging points on both sides.

The bathroom comes with a spacious standing shower zone complete with local Australian brand Hunter Lab for the toiletries, though there is no bidet for the toilet bowl.

The Facilities The fitness center is decently equipped for a good workout with a couple of treadmill machines, cable machine and weights. There is a side window in the gym, so you do get some natural light in the day.

The Restaurants There are two dining concepts on-site. Luci is a contemporary Australian restaurant set in the grand hall of Melbourne’s historic Equity Chambers building. The interior is an art deco styled dining room – designed by Bates Smart – and is opened for breakfast and dinner.

The breakfast spread is decent with a good mix of hot and cold spread. Here is the catch – as a Hilton Honours Gold Member, I had access to complimentary breakfast though it is limited to just cold food items.

There is an additional top up of AUD10 if I want to go for the full breakfast experience.

Other than Luci, there is also The Douglas Club which is a 1930s inspired cocktail lounge.
Rants No spa or swimming pool.
Overall Experience The location is the main draw for me for Hilton Melbourne Little Queen Street. The tram station is right at the doorstep where I made use of the Free Tram Zone for most of my travels within the city centre.
There are plenty of cafes, coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance which make it appealing for me as well. What I also noticed is that there are quite a number of business travellers who chose to stay at this property due to its location in the heart of the city centre.
