Food Scoops: Best Restaurants To Try In Lisbon, Portugal | From Michelin Star To Bib Gourmand Restaurants
Lisbon, Portugal – I was happy to explore the culinary capital of Portugal, Lisbon, where there is so much to offer from casual, fine-casual to fine-dining restaurants!
Here are some of the restaurants we tried in Lisbon:
Alma
Two Michelin starred traditional Portuguese cuisine by celebrated Michelin starred by Chef Henrique Sá Pessoa. Alma is one of the meals I knew right from the start of planning the trip to Lisbon which I wanted to check. I love the interior of Alma, which features high ceiling, open kitchen and a contemporary design in an old historic building. The menu is a take on traditional Portuguese cuisine, and you can choose from the tasting menu or opt for Ala carte if you are pressed for time. Definitely try something from their diverse wine list too, no better time to sip some Portuguese wine! Overall, the presentation and flavours exude finesse and service is great.

Tapisco
This is a fine-casual Spanish tapas and Portuguese petiscos by Chef Henrique Sá Pessoa if you find Alma too formal. The concept if a combination of Portuguese petiscos (snacks) with Spanish tapas, where the menu is a good variety of small and large plates for sharing. The vibe is great and a good meal here does not have to break the bank.
