Food Review: Highhouse At One Raffles Place | Dining & Lifestyle Venue With Awesome Views Of Singapore Skyline

The Place Located in the heart of Raffles Place, I checked out Highhouse recently for the first time since it opened a year ago. HighHouse is one of two innovative concepts within the OUE Sky project, blending music, art and flavors in a unique space. It is a spacious setting spanning over 10,000 square feet across the 61st and 62nd floors of One Raffles Place, and it offers breathtaking views of the Singapore skyline. It is not just a bar, but also a restaurant which offers an extensive menu.

The interior design of HighHouse is a fusion of luxury and contemporary style, with plush booths and dining tables strategically placed by the floor-to-ceiling windows. As the evening progresses, the venue transitions into a vibrant nightlife venue, with music and art taking center stage.

There is a rotating line-up of live performances and DJ sets – burlesque and carnival dancers on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; while live performers across musicians (violinist, guitarist and saxophonist) and entertainers on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The Food Their revamped food menu showcases Pacific Coast-inspired cuisine with a Modern Pan-Asian twist. Their cocktail menu explores inspirations from 6 key countries – Australia, Korea, Malaysia, Peru, Thailand and the USA.

For a start, the Cod Fish Croquetas (S$16) topped with Spanish anchovies is an easy snack to go along with some drinks.

Moving on to Small Plates, I enjoyed the Scallop Crudo (S$36) which takes the traditional Singaporean raw fish salad to the next level by featuring Hokkaido scallops, complemented by a ginger sesame dressing and peanut brittle for a touch of sweetness.

I also recommend having the Grilled Octopus (S$28) which features a succulent Spanish octopus with smoked chickpea puree and candied pecans, finished with a spicy Thai dressing.

The Mala Shrooms (S$18) is another easy side dish to share which is a mildly spiced Sichuan spiced mushrooms, confit garlic, onions and pickled ginger on labneh; or go healthier with the Broccolini (S$18) with a tangy lemon vinaigrette.

For mains, I tried the Lobster Mac N Cheese (S$68), which is very creamy and cheesy, as it is a mix of cheddar, gruyere and parmesan in a lobster bisque reduction.  That said, the price is on the steep end as it features a whole Maine lobster tail as well.

Another main I had was the aptly named That Expensive Indomie They Told You About (S$38). Instant noodles for S$38? Well, this version comes with miso foie gras, braised chicken, fried egg and served alongside spicy homemade sambal. If you need a hangover type of food after some drinks, this is the dish to go for.

Rants Prices for the food are on the higher spectrum, though it is also nice that there is no cover charge given its high location and live entertainment performances.

Will I Return Again? If you are looking for a dining spot with live entertainment and a view of the city, then HighHouse fits the bill. Its location is also very strategic as it is right at the exit of Raffles Place MRT.
