Food Review: Oasis At Grand Hyatt Singapore | Poolside Restaurant & Bar With Weekend BBQ Night Sharing Platter
The Place Located at Grand Hyatt Singapore, Oasis is a poolside restaurant and bar at Grand Hyatt Singapore which might not be in the radar of most people since it is tucked right at the back of the main hotel’s entrance. Most people would not chance upon Oasis, as you need to take the lift located at the end of the building to level one where Damai Spa is located, then walk past the spa towards the pool, and that is where Oasis is located.

It is an indoor-outdoor dining concept which makes the dining ambience at Oasis very resort-vibes.

The Food On weekends only, which is Friday and Saturday evenings, it is BBQ Nights at Oasis, which I checked out recently during my stay at the property. Priced at S$88++ per person, it is like a multi-course meal served to the table which includes the highlight of a BBQ Sharing Platter featuring an array of grilled meats and seafood — from bone-in beef to herb-marinated tiger prawns and Italian pork sausages.

You can also opt for their Alcohol beverage package (S$58++) which gives you free-flow drinks for 2.5 hours, which include the likes or red and white wines, beer, rose and non-alcoholic drinks. White Wine options include the likes of Greywacke, Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough New Zealand, 2023 and Vasse Felix Filius, Chardonnay, Margaret River, Australia, 2022.
For a start, I had the Grilled Herb Ciabatta with hummus and chilli oil.

Next up was a series of starters such as the Oasis Garden Salad Bowl with gem lettuce, green leaves, sliced vegetables, nuts, seeds, ginger lime dressing; Greek Salad with sheep’s milk feta cheese, olives; Oysters on Ice with shallot mignonette & lemon; and a Prawn Cocktail of black tiger prawns, cocktail sauce and lemon.

It is a very healthy way to start the meal, though you will not like it if you are not a fan of vegetables usually. I guess this is to balance out the series of meats in the main course.
The highlight of the meal is definitely the main course, the Oasis BBQ Platter. I love the Tamarind Marinated Chicken Thigh where the chicken is flavourful and tender.

The Australian Five Founders Bone-in Beef is also very good where the beef was grilled to a nice medium-rare, and it is not too fatty where I was able to taste the beefy flavour of the meat.
Sustainable Barramundi Fillet Herb is a good balance to the heavy meats like the beef and lamb, and there is also the fresh Marinated Black Tiger Prawn.

Other meats include the likes of Italian Pork Sausage and Australian Roaring Forties Lamb.
Some sides which are also served with the platter include the Stir-Fried Vegetables and Roasted New Potatoes with smoke salt & chives.

For desserts, it is an elaborate affair which is a very generous portion of four types of desserts. Seasonal Local Fruits, Soft Serve Sundae, Profiteroles with Passion Fruit Curd & Chocolate Sauce, and also, Cinnamon Sugar Donuts.

Rants I would prefer if the starters from the BBQ Night Menu feature more dishes which are grilled, rather than focusing on mainly salads.
Will I Return Again? Oasis restaurant is quite the oasis in Orchard Road (pun intended). It does not feel like you are right in the hustle and bustle of town. Good quality meats from the BBQ meat platter I had, and the service from the team is also sincere and warm.
