Food Review: Seoul Restaurant At Conrad Singapore Orchard | Authentic Korean BBQ Buffet From S$59++

The Place There is a good value Korean BBQ buffet in Orchard where I checked out Seoul Restaurant recently. Located on level three of Conrad Singapore Orchard, Seoul Restaurant is a family-owned establishment which has been around since 1997.

Seoul Restaurant exudes a minimalist dark wood interior that exudes a cosy and homely vibe. The dining area is spacious, accommodating both intimate dinners and larger gatherings with private rooms available.

The Food Seoul Restaurant’s à la carte buffet starts at S$59++ for lunch and S$89++ for dinner, offering unlimited servings of premium meats and traditional Korean dishes. It is a very varied menu with 40+ menu items ranging from A5 Wagyu beef & Iberico pork to Korean pancakes & stews. All dishes are made-to-order and all-you-can-eat.

For those seeking an elevated experience, you can opt for the premium buffet at S$119++ which includes Wagyu-grade cuts and specialty items like spicy marinated crab and ginseng chicken soup.

I visited for their lunch buffet since this is the most value for money option, and there is a good range of beef cuts to choose from.

Expect the likes of Chadolbagi which features thinly sliced beef brisket; Galbisal – Boneless beef short rib with rich marbling.

Non-beef options include the likes of Moksal which is Spanish Iberico pork collar; and Hangjeongsal – pork jowl offering a balance of lean meat and fat.

Seafood options like prawns, squid, and mackerel are also available for grilling.

Complementing the meats are a range of traditional Korean side dishes and specialties such as Kimchijeon – Crispy kimchi pancakes; Topokki – Spicy rice cakes; Sundubu-jjigae – Soft tofu stew with a rich broth; Bibim-naengmyeon – Spicy cold buckwheat noodles, which is good for cleansing the palate after the series of meats.

Rants Service could come across a tad inconsistent and as with ala carte buffer orders, there were times where it was challenging to get their attention. It is also self-grilling, unlike some other KBBQ restaurants where the staff helps to grill the meats.

Will I Return Again? At S$59++, the lunch buffet is good value, and it is a fuss-free spot for a lunch gathering, especially so if you have a big appetite. The quality is decent for the lunch price, though not exceptionally good in my opinion. Hence, if I were to pay for the dinner buffet price, I would probably head to other Korean BBQ restaurants where the quality of the meats is better.
