Food Review: Menya Musashi

The Place As one of Japan’s most popular Ramen chain, Menya Musashi has finally arrived on our shores in Raffles City. This is currently one of the most hyped up Ramen joint in town as the queue during lunch and dinner is insane. I was lucky that I arrived before 6pm on a weekday and surprisingly there was no queue at all!

The seating capacity at the Raffles City branch is quite limited as the size of the outlet is small, which explains the usual long queue.

The Food
The Ramen is no doubt the highlight at Menya Musashi. The menu is pretty concise as there is not much choice to choose from. The 3 main choices are the White Musashi, Black Musashi and Red Musashi.

If Miso soup is your liking, there is a current promotion on Miso soup based Ramen for the White, Black and Red Ramen.

We tried both the White Cha Shu Ramen ($12.90) and Black Cha Shu Ramen ($12.90). I love the thickness of the broth, which has garlic and pork taste. This makes the Ramen very tasty as I soon find myself sipping every bit of the broth, definitely one of the best Ramen I have tasted. What’s more, the sliced cha shu is tender and melts in the mouth.

Will I return again? The tasty concentrated broth of the Ramen is enough reason for me to return to Menya Musashi. The prices of the Ramen are reasonable as well.
