The Place Mention Dempsey Hill and it is difficult to miss Jones the Grocer, an Aussie establishment which aims to provide patrons a wide gourmet experience. There is food selection, wine collections, pasta sections and cheese corner for patrons to purchase. Other than the grocery shopping experience, Jones the Grocer is also a restaurant which serves breakfast, brunch and dinner throughout the day.
I decided to check out the Brunch and it proves to be a very pleasant experience.
The high ceiling of the place makes me feel very comfortable and relax, or maybe I am just a closet claustrophobic freak. It seems a luxury to enjoy so much space these days, even if the idea of space spirals upwards. I also appreciate the overall spaciousness of the whole place.

The Food For brunch hours on weekends, the menus is available from 12-5pm and it has the usual brunchy selections such as Eggs Benedict and Scrambled Eggs.

From the tea selection, it costs $5.50 for a pot of tea of your choice, where there are over 30 different flavours to choose from. This must be one of the most value for money place to have afternoon tea.The Hazelnut Chocolate ($6.50) has a strong hazelnut aroma.
The Hot Mocha ($6) is one of my favourite.   For the weekend brunch between 12-5pm, the Eggs Benedict ($20.50) is one of the all time favourites. I must say this is one of the best eggs benedict I have tried in Singapore. The runny eggs is done perfectly while the hollandaise sauce is very tasty and compliments the toast and egg very well.
The Jones Club Sandwich with Chicken ($13.50) is equally good as well. I love the sandwich as the bread has a very fragrant aroma. The mushrooms which comes as a side dish is very well done as well.Rants It can be very packed on weekends during brunch hours so be sure to arrive early or make a reservation.

Will I return again? I enjoy my brunch, not just for its high quality but also the laidback ambience it gives me. These are enough reasons to be back.
