The Place As one of the biggest tenant of PasarBella, Oceans of Seafood prides itself in serving the freshest seafood to all patrons. It is interesting to see the wide range of seafood display at this stall in PasarBella – Fishes from Japan, New Zealand Oysters, South African Lobsters Prawns and Bamboo Clams, all of which can be prepared and served on the spot! That is what I like about Oceans of Seafood as I am kinda assured that I am being served fresh food, or so I believe.
It can be a little confusing on the ordering system here for first timers. Basically, there are two main steps. Grab a table and note your table number, then walk around and decide which seafood you want and let the service staff know your table number. Food will be served to your table. The seats are scattered in different regions of the whole area Oceans of Seafood occupy, huge space I must say.
The Food We were bent on trying the Fish and Chips ($18) which I thought is decently priced. Overall, the quality did not disappoint. The fish is indeed fresh and the taste has a authentic British flavour to it. I cannot neglect the crispy fries as well as it is totally addictive!
To all Salmon Sashimi lovers, you have to try the Salmon Belly Sashimi (~$20). We get to choose the type of sashimi we want from the front of the restaurant, such as Salmon sashimi, Tuna sashimi and Salmon Belly sashimi. There is an additional slicing fee of $5 should you wish to have it on the spot.

The Salmon Belly Sashimi is a steal to tRP. The portion is pretty value for money in our opinion and we do not feel ripped off like in some Japanese restaurants. The sashimi is without a doubt very fresh.
Rants Service is slow and unattentive. Our Salmon Belly Sashimi was left at the counter for very long before we have to repeatedly check our order and then it was finally served to us.

Will I return again? Disregarding the lacklustre service standard, we find the Fish and Chips and Sashimi to be very fresh and this gives us more confidence and temptation to try the other types of seafood on our next visit.
