It’s really a festive season of giveaways!

In collaboration with Peony Jade Restaurant, theRantingPanda team will be giving away 1 x Nan Ru (Preserved Bean Paste) Turkey stuffed with Taro Fried Rice (worth $128++) which serves up to 10-12 guests, to one lucky reader. This version of the Western Turkey with an Oriental twist by the very creative culinary team behind the renowned Peony Jade Restaurant is perfect to share with your family and friends.
The nan ru or commonly known as red fermented tofu is a mixture of yellow beans and white wine. It is rich in proteolytic enzymes and amino acids, and is an ideal condiment with rice or congee/porridge in Chinese cuisine. Due to its own fermented fragrance and smooth, creamy and firm texture, the salty tofu cubes are sometimes known as “Chinese Cheese”.

When the nan ru marinated turkey (stuffed with intensely wok-fried rice with yam cubes and Japanese dried shrimp) is roasted at 180 degree celsius for 30 minutes, the result is a moist-skinned aromatic turkey in a glistening ruby red hue with the most unique sweet-savoury flavour. The comforting yet exotic taste of the pungent nan ru is at its best when the roasted turkey is savoured with the humble fried rice.

The addictive and appetite-whetting turkey comes with deep-fried taro chips, prawn crackers, thick nan ru sauce, plum soaked cherry tomatoes, and fresh lettuce. Sounds tantalising?
