Hotel Review: Andaz One Bangkok (King Bed Park View) | Gorgeous Lumphini Park View & Infinity Pool

The Hotel I love Bangkok and there is always a new hotel to check out each time I return. Andaz One Bangkok has been on my list and I finally got a chance to stay recently in the One Michelin Key hotel property which has only been opened for a year. The hotel location is part of One Bangkok development with a direct link to the mall, and is located next to the The Ritz-Carlton, Bangkok.

The lobby design is chic and feels a little like a mini art gallery for me. High ceiling, lovely arches, and glass to ceiling window panes. I love how bright it is in the day, where there are ample seats for guests to wait for their check-in.

Another notable highlight of the lobby is the living room concept, where guests can help themselves with coffee, tea and snacks.

Oh, and they also offer a complimentary Sunset Hour in the lobby for all guests with free-flow wine and beer from 5 to 6 pm, along with some light bites.

The Room I checked into the 1 King Bed, Park View, Deluxe which is a very generous size of 678 sq ft. The contemporary room design is gorgeous beyond words, and I have to start from the beautiful park view where the window frames up the view of Lumphini Park perfectly.

Another beautiful design of this room is the corner layout which gives that wide angle of the whole park view. I spent some time just lounging on the spacious sofa, while gazing at the view.

In terms of amenities, you get a fully complimentary minibar stocked with local treats and Nespresso coffee machine.

The generosity in the space is also reflected in the separate walk-in closet which is big enough to place two luggage bags, a powder room, and of course, the bathroom with double vanity sinks, bathtub and standing shower compete with Eleventh Hour bath products by Byredo and Dyson hairdryer.

The Facilities The main facilities are located on level 7, where the outdoor saltwater infinity pool is easily one of the nicest pools I have seen in Bangkok. From this level, I can see directly across the tree line of Lumphini Park and it feels like a total urban oasis.

Located right beside the pool is the 24-hour fitness center, and while it is not the biggest gym I have come across in Bangkok, it is well-equipped with cardio and weights equipment, and I love the red theme design which is sleek.

The changing room on the same level also features great wellness facilities like the steam and sauna area, and an experience shower which plays the actual sound of thunder during the rainstorm setting. The only thing missing is probably a hot jacuzzi tub.

The Restaurants I had breakfast at Jing on the lobby level, where you can expect a wide range of cooked-to-order dishes alongside a buffet spread that covers everything from artisanal pastries to Cantonese-style morning noodles.

You can choose to dine indoors, or there is also an outdoor terrace with a park view, and the good thing is that you do not get the morning sun in the terrace area.

For lunch, Jing serves up Cantonese and Sichuan flavors where you can expect dishes like Peking duck, mapo tofu, and more.

For dinner, I also managed to try Piscari on the 23rd floor. This good-looking restaurant serves refined Mediterranean flavors and the view of the surrounding is even more gorgeous from this floor. My tip is to head here during sunset hour.

I had dishes like their Hamachi crudo, octopus and the tender wagyu beef which are all excellent on its own.

Rants No club lounge per se in this property, but there is the Sunset Hour in the lobby everyday. While the location is seamlessly integrated into the One Bangkok mall network, it is a few hundred metres walk to Lumphini MRT station. It is not near any BTS station, so you need to connect to BTS via Lumphini MRT station if that is a consideration. Otherwise, Grab rides are convenient.

Overall Experience I highly recommend a stay in Andaz One Bangkok. It is good looking, good service, gorgeous room design and amazing wellness facilities. It is all I need for a good stay.
