Snippets: It’s confirmed, famed Hong Kong Roast Goose Restaurant Yung Kee set to close
If you have not already heard, the 73 years old Yung Kee will be shutting its doors soon amidst a family feud. But all is not lost in our opinion.
As the judge came to his verdict, the popular Hong Kong Yung Kee Restaurant will now be left in the hands of the liquidators. While we do not know how long the process will take, this will definitely be your last chance to savour the famed Roast Goose.
Of family feud, and of Michelin Star won and lost, more so for the local Hongkongers, this will be one restaurant packed with much memories.
Fret not if you are not planning a trip to Hong Kong any time soon though. One-half of the Kam’s feuding family faction have branched out earlier last year to open the Kam’s Roast Goose at Wan Chai. While there are limited seats in the small restaurant, your patience will be well-rewarded. Psst, rumour has it that Kam’s Roast Goose will be opening a branch in Singapore soon!
