Who doesn’t love the exotic and limited edition flavoured Kitkats whenever you are in Japan? I am always fascinated by the different types of unique Kitkat flavours which are available in each region in Japan, such as the all-time favourite matcha, sakura green tea and taro flavours. It’s time for all sake lovers to rejoice now, as the latest flavour tlaunched by Nestle Japan is the Sake Kitkat! Yes, what took it so long for this flavour to be developed? Afterall, sake is such an integral aspect of Japanese dining culture and will definitely make a good souvenir, in any form.

From the first glimpse of the packaging, it shouts the usual Japanese kawaii (cute) with a sakura cherry blossom design, which I thought is so apt because during Hanami (flower viewing) and in particular sakura season, it is a tradition for Japanese to have food and drink sake under the cherry blossom trees.

Available from 1 February this year, do keep a lookout for this sake Kitkat if you are a sake lover, and I am sure this will be the best souvenir to bring back to your country for family and friends to savour.
