Snippets: Lobsterfest at LIME restaurant PARKROYAL on Pickering | Unlimited lobster dishes from Lobster Mac and Cheese to Salted Egg Lobster
The buzz LIME restaurant at PARKROYAL on Pickering has brought back its popular Lobsterfest happening every night from 27 May to 19 June 2016 following its debut last year. It’s basically an unlimited selection of lobsters done in all variations, targeted at the obvious lobster and seafood lovers. We went down on a Monday evening and the restaurant was fully packed, gasp.
The highlights It was my first time having a lobster theme buffet, so I was genuinely surprised by the overwhelming lobster dishes on display. Highlights include the Maine Lobster Thermidor with Persillade Crust, Maine Lobster with Truffled Hollandaise Sauce and Espellete, Poached Lobster with Marie Rose Sauce, Lobster Mac and Cheese with Truffle Salsa and Lobster Bisque based Risotto with Mascarpone and Lobster Meat.
How can we forget about the all-new Maine Lobster with Salted Eggs?
For chilli and black pepper crab fans, there are the Wok-fried Black Pepper Lobster with Curry Leaves and Spicy ”Singapore-style” Chilli Lobster.
The other spread Lobster aside, there is the usual international and peranakan spread featuring seafood, Japanese sashimi and six types of international cheeses.
Overall experience The quality of the lobster dishes were generally good with some novelty. However, the rest of the buffet spread is not exceptional, which might be because much of the efforts was focused on the lobster dishes during this period. In any case, it is worth trying if you love lobster. Otherwise, you are not missing out much.
