Lounge Review: Cathay Pacific Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 4 Lounge | Beautiful Business Class Lounge For One World Passengers

The Lounge Cathay Pacific has some of the best Business Class lounges in Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), namely – The PierThe Wing and The Deck. In Singapore Changi Airport, the Cathay lounge is located at the Mezzanine Level of Terminal 4, which is not connected via skytrain from Changi Airport Terminal 1,2 or 3. Instead, Terminal 4 is accessible by a complimentary shuttle bus services at both public and transit areas.

The Changi lounge is designed by London-based  Studioilse and the theme and interior takes after the flagship lounge in HKIA, The Pier.

Access For a full list of boarding passes which meet the requirements to access The Pier Business Lounge, do check out Cathay Pacific website.

The Food The most impressive bit for me at Cathay Pacific lounges is the food. Similar to the lounges in HKIA like Cathay’s flagship Business Class lounge The Pier, the Changi Terminal 4 lounge also has their signature Noodle Bar.

The best part of the Noodle Bar is that you get to enjoy a mix of local Singaporean delights and classic Hong Kong dishes.

I couldn’t resist ordering a bowl of Laksa, Dim Sum like Siew Mai, and a bowl of Wanton Noodles. Simply order through the staff and you will be given a buzzer, and they will prepare the dishes and plate it nicely on a tray. Head back to collect when your buzzer rings.

I do find this arrangement a much more polished way of serving food, as opposed to a buffet style like what we have at Singapore Airline’s Silver Kris Lounges in Changi’s Terminal 2 and 3.

There is also a Food Hall section where there is a small buffet line where you can grab self-serve refreshments.

Beverage options are aplenty as well, with the likes of champagne, wines and other non-alcoholic options.

The Facilities In terms of size, the Cathay Pacific Singapore Lounge in T4 is relatively huge, and I like the fact that there are various sections for the lounge to suit different needs.

The first seating section once you enter the lounge is the ‘Cha Caan Teng’ or teahouse banquette seating setting where the Noodle Bar is, which is ideal if you want to grab a bite. This is also the busiest part of the lounge, though it is also possible to work from the tables here where there are charging points at every table.

Moving on to the adjacent part of the lounge to the Noodle Bar is a more open setting with a long communal table right beside the buffet spread. This area is great for a quick meal or easy access to drinks.

The furthest end of the lounge feels most open as it also overlooks the other parts of Terminal 4, and this is also where you will find comfortable sofa seats if you plan to take a short rest or nap. The lighting is relatively dim, so it might not be that ideal if you want to turn on your laptop.

Printers and photocopiers facilities are also available in this lounge. The bathroom though small, is clean and spots the same wooden design as the rest of the lounge.

Rants It is a pity that there are no shower facilities available in this lounge.

Overall Experience I love the design and overall vibe at the Cathay Pacific Singapore Lounge in T4, especially the wooden furnishing which gives the lounge a cosy vibe. The food options are impressive for me too, and there are also ample seats and corners for travellers to chill.

  1. This is a beautiful lounge with great looking food too! A pity it’s all the way over at T4, though.
