Hotel Review: Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur, City View Room | Contemporary City Property In The Heart Of KLCC

The Hotel Located as part of the KLCC complex and adjacent to the Petronas Twin Towers, I checked out Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur which is located at the centre of the Golden Triangle neighbourhood. This is one of the most luxurious hotels in the capital city of Malaysia, where it is located close to Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur.

The hotel’s lobby is spacious, and my check-in process was quite seamless.

The Room I booked the City View Room which is a spacious 52–55 m2. The first thing I noticed about the room is the huge bathroom layout which is accessible from two points in the room from the walk-in wardrobe as well as from the bedroom.

The walk-in wardrobe zone is huge with plenty of space to store luggage and clothes, which then connects to the bathroom.

The bathroom comes with a tub and separate standing shower zone, which also connects to the bedroom section.

Spacious bedside tables with charging points, the work desk space is also quite huge and there is also a cushy sofa corner to laze around.

The Facilities I spent time at the Fitness Centre which is relatively big with views of KLCC Park. It is a good mix of cardio and weights machine.

The outdoor pool is also great to soak in the city vibes as you really feel you are in the heart of KLCC. There are limited cabanas to chill by the pool, as well as a separate jacuzzi corner to relax.

If you love a good sauna and steam room, the changing room on the same level as the pool is huge and it also includes a relaxation room.

Other notable facilites in the property which I did not manage to check out include the award-winning spa and the Executive Lounge.

The Restaurants There are quite a couple of dining concepts in the property and Curate is the restaurant on the lobby level where breakfast is served.

The breakfast buffet boasts a wide spread of local and International dishes, pastries, desserts and live stations for noodles and eggs. The best seats are the tables right beside the window where you get ample natural lighting in the day. It is a good variety with decent quality overall.

I also managed to head to Bar Trigona for drinks in the evening, the best bar in Malaysia according to 50 Best Bars with its recent ranking being #36 on Asia’s Best Bars List 2023. Expect local Malaysian flavours in the cocktails.

Just off the lobby is also The Lounge At Four Seasons which you will have to walk past to get to Bar Trigona, this is the space for Afternoon Tea, coffee or simply having a slice of cake.

Other dining concepts include Cantonese restaurant Yun House as well as the alfresco Pool Bar & Grill.

Rants Traffic in KLCC could be notoriously bad in the day and if you are planning to get around by car, it is inevitable to wait longer for your grab car.

Overall Experience My benchmark of a Four Seasons city hotel is still Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River, and I did not get the same sense of wow factor at the Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur. It is still a decent property, but not as polished from the dining to service to the facilities as what I experienced in Bangkok. Of course, if you want to experience a Four Seasons property, this is still one to consider given that the price is probably one of the most accessible in Asia.
