Hotel Review: Artyzen Singapore At Cuscaden Road | Premier Balcony Room With Gorgeous Rooftop Pool
The Hotel Tucked along Cuscaden Road, I stayed at the Artyzen Singapore recently, a 142-room luxury lifestyle hotel on Cuscaden Road which opened in December 2023. The hotel is located right opposite The Singapore Edition and was awarded One MICHELIN Key in the inaugural 2025 MICHELIN Guide hotel selection. For tourists, it is conveniently close to Orchard Road shopping belt yet in a quieter stretch of road, and within a 10 minutes’ walk to Orchard Boulevard MRT Station. The property is also part of the Preferred Hotels & Resorts Legend Collection and participates in the ‘I Prefer Hotel Rewards’ program.

The building’s façade is unique, and it spots an orange hue along with layered gardens, clean lines, and a neutral palette.

Upon entering the lobby, there is plenty of natural light and it is very cosy unlike the typical big chain hotel.

The Room I stayed at The Premier Balcony Room (42 – 48 sqm) which is located on the higher floors of the hotel.

The rooms at Artyzen carry a warm, contemporary aesthetic that leans into natural textures — light woods, soft fabrics, and subtle Asian touches without being kitschy.

Expect floor‑to‑ceiling windows, a generous sense of space, and an emphasis on comfort. Each room comes with complimentary premium Nordaq bottled water.

The bathroom is spacious and it comes with a bathtub and standing shower.

The toilet bowl is in a separate space which makes it convenient for guests.

Tech-wise, the controls are intuitive (for once), with lighting and blinds that work the way you want them to.

Small but thoughtful touches stand out — tea sets that don’t feel like afterthoughts, a well-stocked mini bar that leans premium, and clever storage that keeps the room feeling uncluttered.

The Facilities The main draw for me is the rooftop Swimming Pool with has a gorgeous unobstructed view of Singapore. One key appeal for me is the lush greenery as the pool faces the north, so you get views of Bukti Timah hill all the way to Johor Bahru.

The pool design is ideal for laps, and there is also a jacuzzi zone. In addition, there is a portion of the pool bed which is made from glass and transparent.

Come during sunset hour, the view and sunset is gorgeous.

Located on level five is the wellness zone where the Gym is located, While the gym is not big, I like that it is bright with natural light with decent equipment for strength training.

The hotel also emphasises movement and wellness through curated programmes such as yoga classes. On the same level as the gym, there is also an outdoor terrace amidst the garden setting with yoga mats.

For those in need of a massage, there is also a Spa which I did not manage to check out.
The Restaurants As the fine-dining concept of the hotel, Quenino is a MICHELIN-selected restaurant where Southeast Asian flavours are reimagined with boldness helmed by Chef Sujatha Asokan. It is an elegant space where you can expect familiar Southeast Asian flavours being presented with creative touches.

Located at the lobby is Café Quenino, a contemporary all-day dining restaurant in Orchard serving “tze char” comfort for today’s table.

Helmed by Chef de Cuisine Ma Yee Khang, the menu draws from Chinese and Southeast Asian traditions with a sharing concept. From lunch through dinner, the experience centres on plates for the table, shared your way. Guests choose 3, 5 or 7 plates based on appetite, freely mixing dishes across the menu with no restrictions, while rice and sides complete the shared spread.

Breakfast for guests is also served at Café Quenino, where there is a small buffet spread of bread, fruits and pastries complemented by a menu where you can order unlimited servings of dishes such as Nasi Lemak, Congee, Eggs done your way, various toasts, and more. There is also local Kopi as part of the beverage selection.

For drinks, the open-air Rooftop Bar is located on the same level as the pool, and it offers cocktails with Asian accents and a view framed by Orchard’s skyline. Perfect for a pre‑dinner drink or a nightcap if you’re staying in.

Rants The breakfast spread is not particularly extensive.
Overall Experience Artyzen Singapore is a refreshing addition to the Orchard area. It is modern, design-centric, and quietly luxurious without trying too hard. It is the kind of property you check into when you want the convenience of Orchard but seek serenity. The room is well-designed and the rooftop pool has one of the best views in Singapore.
