The Place One of the latest venture by Creative Eateries, Boston Seafood Shack is an attempt by the group to replicate the seafood dining scene in Boston. It has certainly opened its first outlet in a star location, at the up and coming spanking new mall in Buona Vista, The Star Vista.

This is a fast food concept which aims to make seafood affordable and served fast to customers. I think that the interior is pretty well done for a fast food concept and reminds me of a ship. It is also a comfortable setting for a casual lunch or dinner.

The Food The fish and chips is the highlight at Boston Seafood Shack. There are different kinds of fish to choose from, such as Cod fish or Barramundi fish. Other than fish and chips, there is also a decent selection of pastas.

For a start, I decided to try the Lobster Bisque ($5.50). I would say that this is pretty average and is a little too expensive for fast food.

For mains, I had the signature Cod fish and chips ($12.50) which is wrapped in paper when served. The fish is fresh and crispy and I think the portion is just right to fill my stomach. For the price I am paying, this is a value for money choice.

Another version of fish n chips we had was the Barramundi and Chips ($13.50). The reason I chose this alongside with the Cod fish is because I rarely see Barramundi as an option for fish and chips, at least not in most mainstream western restaurants in Singapore. It is equally fresh like the Cod and chips, and is a good alternative as well.

Rants No doubt that the fish is fresh, there is a lack of a distinctive factor at Boston Seafood Shack as there are simply too many other options in town to have a decent fish and chips meal. 

Will I return again? Probably not, especially when there are so many other restaurants to choose from in The Star Vista.
