Food Review: Frozen By A Thousand Blessings | Frozen yogurt in Toa Payoh

The Place Located just a few doors from The Daily Press is Frozen By A Thousand Blessings, a frozen yogurt concept imported from Melbourne. Being the only outlet in Singapore currently, the concept of ordering at Frozen is relatively fuss-free and self-service. For a yogurt place, the interior has a seating capacity of about ten people, which is fairly spacious. Personally, I really like the look of the shop – wooden touches paired with white finishing which lend the place a very clean and minimalist look, consistent with its concept.
IMG_4149The Food Ordering at Frozen is a simple three steps: Decide the flavours you desire and DIY your own cup, choose your toppings and pay. At $3.80/100g, you pay according to how much you feel like having.

There are six flavours here: Pomegranate, Green Tea, Mango & Soy, Coconut, Chocolate and Natural. Do feel free to sample if you are undecided on which flavours to choose. We heard that all the flavours are made from Australia’s organic milk, except the Mange & Soy, which contains soy milk instead. I decided to have the refreshing Pomegranate and the Mango & Soy flavours for comparison.
IMG_4151IMG_4162eFor the toppings, it was quite a visual feast as there are so many choices, from fruits to chocolates to nuts to cereals, at least twenty choices. I guess it is easy to get carried away when presented with such buffet style toppings, so my advice is to be conscious of how much you want and literally weigh your options accordingly. I am not a fan of fanciful toppings for my yogurt, so I just settled for the plain nuts.
IMG_4155 IMG_4173Once done, weigh your yogurt creation on the scale and probably make a guess on how much you have clocked.
IMG_4178My damage for the two flavours of yogurt and some nuts toppings was $6.80, not the cheapest around but I like the quality ingredients used at Frozen. Both flavours I had was light and refreshing, and most importantly I do not find it overly sweet.

Rants The price is on the high end for froyo, but we forgive it with the relatively nice space and wide choices of flavours to enjoy our creations.

Will I return again? With nearby Creamier around as a close alternative, Frozen will be my choice of desserts in this part of Toa Payoh if I was feeling heavier that day.
