Snippets: Melt Café at Mandarin Oriental Singapore | Flavours of India theme cusine returns

The Buzz It is exciting to see buffet lines introducing seasonal themes occasionally. From now till the end of May 2016,  Melt Café at Mandarin Oriental Singapore will be running the ‘Flavours of India’ theme cuisine by Indian Specialty Chef Santosh Kumar.

The Highlights Don’t miss the live kebab station showcasing the signature minced lamb galouti kebab mixed with aromatic spices, achari macchi tikka pickled tandoori fish, boneless chicken leg murg haryali kebab topped with mint, cheese and yoghurt, as well as the tandoori jhinga king prawns marinated with spices and carom seeds.

An Indian food experience is not complete without some good meats and curries for me. There is a wide array of selections from the buffet line, featuring highlights such as the whole stuffed fish meen biryani and murg biryani paired with tender chicken.

You need to have your curries with the assortment of naans, which comes in flavours such as garlic, butter, olive and cheese.

For desserts, look out for the rasmalai cottage cheese balls in cream, a combination of apricot and nuts more fondly known as khubani ka meetha, and milk or apricot pudding.

The International Spread Other than the specially curated Indian cuisine, there is still a widespread selection of International highlights at Melt café during this period. Some of our favorites are the live station dishing out lobster laksa, the fresh oysters, Japanese sashimi, Oriental delights and the live Crêpe station for desserts.
