Food Review: Original Orchard Emerald Beef Noodle at The Venue, Tai Thong Crescent | Delicious 牛肉面 in Potong Pasir

The Place I have vague memories of Orchard Emerald Beef Noodle as I remember that I have eaten it eons ago. When our friends at Potong Pasir told us a new beef noodle stall has opened, we were excited to check it out. The few weeks old Original Orchard Emerald Beef Noodle is located at Tai Thong Crescent, as part of the mixed development project of The Venue. The spacious space is comfy and fully air-conditioned so you don’t have to worry about sweating while enjoying your beef noodles. We understood from the current team that they are friends with the original owner, and this is the only outlet (for now).

The Food No MSG, that’s what one of the staff told us. The menu is very concise, with the classic option being the Beef Noodles (Dry/Soup – S$7), Beef Brisket Hor Fun (S$8.50), Beef Balls Soup (S$6) and Oxtail with Rice (S$12.50). Priced slightly higher than the usuals, but with the comfort of air-condition and of course satisfying bowl of beef noodles.

The Beef Noodle Soup was divine. I had my first mouth of the soup first, a clear yet rich broth. The flavours of the soup is very clean as well, boiled and prepared for a few hours to lend it the rich flavour. The beef slices here are very thin and tender.

Another worthy option is the Beef Brisket Hor Fun. Tender, juicy and with the right amount of fats, this works better for The Rantee who prefers braised beef. The sauce drizzled over the Hor Fun is delicious too.

Rants Be prepared to wait about ten minutes for your order even when it is not very crowded. We wouldn’t mind if the kitchen prepares it food faster.

Will I Return Again? I really enjoyed the beef noodles. It has been awhile since I had such a tasty and clear beef broth in Singapore. Service is good, food is good and I can’t wait to savour it again.
