Snippets: Best Restaurants to Try at Marina One | Where and What to Eat near Downtown Station

Marina One, Singapore – If you are working in or around Marina One, there are no lack of dining options from casual eateries to mid-range restaurants. Here are some of our recommendations from dine-in restaurants to takeaway options!

The Spot
As one of the newest restaurant to open in Marina One, The Spot looks like an unassuming bistro restaurant but is really more than it seems. For one, the food is excellent, led by Executive Chef Lee Boon Seng whom previously held stints at Osia and Curate at Resorts World Sentosa. The food is anchored in European techniques, where the ingredients are enriched with chef’s Asian heritage. Some of my favourite dishes include the Roasted Carrot Soup and the Pan-fried Red Snapper.

Nude Grill
From the team behind Nude Seafood right across the street at Marina Bay Financial Centre, Nude Grill is the first dining concept to open in Marina One and focuses on dishes prepared from its grill. It is adjacent to Nude Chill, the slightly more causal restaurant-bar concept which serves their lunch menu recently.

Majestic Restaurant
As the only decent and proper Chinese restaurant in the building, it is no surprise that Majestic Restaurant is so popular among the office crowd as it does not accept walk-ins during lunch hours. With a reputable brand from its good old days at the now defunct Majestic Hotel, some of my favourites include the dim sum and Peking duck. Save some space for the famous fried durian dessert at the end of your meal.

Wakanui Grill Dining Singapore
Located at level 4 of Marina One West Tower, Wakanui is not a Japanese restaurant, but specialises in their New Zealand beef selections. That said, the restaurant does serve other types of meats like lamb and seafood, and caters to the office and business lunch crowd. If you love a good plate of succulent steak, Wakanui is worth trying.

If you are looking for takeaways, there are a few worthy options like Yoli Box for Korean dishes, Pantree for their good pancakes, and my favourite post-gym meal, The Daily Cut.
