Food Review: The Beef Station at Potong Pasir | Is this as Beef-licious as promised?

The Food Taking over the space of what was previously Orchard Emerald, The Beef Station retains the look of the predecessor except with changes to the menu. Located at Tai Thong Crescent, it is a casual restaurant in Potong Pasir with most dishes below S$10.

The Food The menu is pretty straight forward and I tried both the Beef Brisket Hor Fun (S$9) and Hainanese Beef Noodles Soup (S$7).

In general, the portions are quite decent for the price. The Hainanese Beef Noodles Soup come with thin slices of beef, which I find it a tad too tough. The beef soup here is also not as rich in flavour as I was expecting. That said, I did ask for refills of the soup which the staff obliged happily.

For the Beef Brisket Hor Fun, the flavour also leans towards the bland side as the sauce here is not flavourful enough. As for the beef brisket, the taste is better than the beef slices in the soup as the meat is more tender.

Rants It is rare for restaurants to not have credit card payment options in this time and age.

Will I Return Again? For the sudden craving for beef noodles, The Beef Station is a decent option if you are in the vicinity. That said, there are much better alternatives around, like the hawker stall nearby at Bendemeer Food Centre.
