Snippets: 3 Cafes and Restaurants to get your Souffle Pancakes fix in Singapore

Souffle Pancakes is all the rage this year, and here are 3 places to get your souffle pancakes fix!

Gram Cafe & Pancakes
Osaka’s most famous pancake brand opened its doors in Singapore for the first time few days ago at VivoCity. The signature Premium Pancakes is definitely worth a try, characterised by its towering stack of three 4cm thick fluffy souffle pancakes, served along with housemade whipped cream and gram’s original butter. However, it is only available at 3 time slots each day (11am, 3pm and 6pm), at a limited quantity of 30 servings per time slot. The souffle pancakes are of pillowy texture, somewhat cloud-like and dreamy. The pancake is buttery enough, even on its own without the butter. Go generous on the butter and whipped cream, and add a little of the sweet maple syrup to the pancakes for the best flavour. [Read more here…]

We like the savoury Forestiere, where the soft pancakes are stacked with creamy mushroom sauce and omelette. The souffle pancake here is soft and delicious. Sweet options include the likes of the Tres Berries, a classic berries and pancakes combination complete with honey maple syrup sauce. That said, the Ondeh Ondeh is the most interesting as it is drizzled with pandan-flavoured custard and gula Melaka syrup which is not too sweet surprisingly.

Poofy By Riz Labo
This is easily one of the most popular stalls at Habitat by Honestbee. We tried the Poofy Pancakes at Poofy By Riz Labo, where you can expect to wait up to an hour during peak timings. The souffle pancakes here are very soft, complete with berries and cream. However, we do wish that it is more buttery in terms of flavour.
