Food Scoops: 5 New Coffee Spots To Check Out In Singapore | From Cupping Room Coffee Roasters To Maxi Coffee Bar

Singapore – We love a good cuppa coffee and are constantly on the hunt for new coffee spots in town. Here are some of the new coffee spots which we have checked out in the past month or so. This list focuses on spaces which are primarily selling a coffee culture, where food is not the main highlight.

Cupping Room Coffee Roasters
This coffee brand hails from Hong Kong and just opened its first outlet in Singapore this month. The space occupies the passageway in Ngee Ann City and is relatively limited in seating capacity, though it is a good coffee addition to Orchard Road. Go for the hipster Avocado Toast option along with the robust coffee (from S$4 for House Black).
Where: 391A Orchard Rd, #02-10A Ngee Ann City, Singapore 238873

Maxi Coffee Bar
It was at Club Street, and it just moved to a slightly bigger space in Ann Siang Hill. There is something indie and charming about Maxi Coffee Bar. Coffee options include the likes of Filter (S$6) coffee, Cold Brews (S$5.80/Black, S$6.80/Oat), and there is even a Iced Cereal Milk Latte (S$7.50) under one of their greatest hits.
Where: 6 Ann Siang Hill, Singapore 069787

Kurasu
Having been to its outlets in Bangkok and Kyoto, Kurasu is a pretty indie coffee brand which recently moved into its new space in Waterloo Street from Odeon Towers. The new space is an injection of a new lease of life to the otherwise sleepy old estate, and it is designed in a Japanese zen style.
Where: 261 Waterloo St, #01-24, Singapore 180261

Glass Roasters
This new coffee spot in a quaint estate in the west is literally a hole-in-the-wall space. Glass Roasters was packed during my visit, and I like the charming and cosy space. Coffee flavour is smooth and robust, and do snag the outdoor tables for a more relaxed experience.
Where: 108 Faber Drive, Singapore 129418

Parallel Coffee Roasters
Another coffee brand which relocated from its One Raffles Place booth, Parallel Coffee Roasters has a much bigger room now in the quaint Duxton Hill. The space is fast gaining popularity for its very affordable priced coffee (from S$2.80 for Black) and simple yet elegant space.
Where: 39 Duxton Hill, Singapore 089617
