New Restaurants
Fat Belly Social Steakhouse
Branded as an alternative steakhouse like its first concept Fat Belly in Serene Centre, the same group has just launched Fat Belly Social Steakhouse (FBSS), a new 60 seater social dining space located at a level 2 shophouse space along the bustling Boon Tat Street. It is a brand new menu at FBSS, with a concept of communal dining over small plates such as the Grilled Octopus and Grilled Ox Tongue, and large sharing plates that include both alternative and prime steak cuts such as the Zabuton and Rib Cap. Carne Singapore
Carne Singapore opened at Amoy Street few days ago and is the first international outpost of the innovative burger chain anchored around sustainable gastronomy. Created by celebrated Argentine chef Mauro Colagreco, whose restaurant Mirazur in France is the current #1 on World’s 50 Best Restaurants and has 3 Michelin stars, Carne’s concept echos the belief of Chef Mauro’s: “Every time you eat, you decide the world you want to live in”. Expect burgers, milkshakes, local craft beers and breakfast selections at the 80-seater smart-casual burger joint. [Read more here…]

Yakiniku-GO
Located at Seng Kang’s Seletar Mall, the latest restaurant by RE&S Yakiniku-GO will be the group’s first yakiniku concept and their seventy-sixth restaurant in Singapore. The brand dishes out affordable yet quality meats for diners to enjoy in an authentic Japanese and fuss-free dinner. Expect lots of beef, and of course other meats including lamb, chicken and seafood on the menu. The pork-free menu offers both sets and à la carte offerings, with beef selections such as the popular Jyo Karubi, Harami, Ribeye Steak, Beef Tongue, Kainomi and Wagyu Chuck Short Ribs. Non-beef options include chicken, lamb leg, seafood Hoiru Yaki (baked in foil) and salmon. Super value sets begin from S$9.80, and upwards to just S$26.80! Le Matin Patisserie
The popular patisserie started as an online stall during circuit breaker last year, before it opened its physical test kitchen space recently at Raeburn Park. You can still order the highly sought after pastry boxes online before collection, or simply walk in to grab whatever pastries are available. I like the Smoked Cruffin and Cashew Escargot, or go with simple options like the croissant. Freshly made artisanal coffee is also available on site.

Chū and Co.
It is rare to find a bakery cafe space like Chu and Co., nestled within the quiet private estate of Litchfield Road, which is close to the heart of Serangoon Garden. This is a 2-in-1 concept which houses a bakery and a gelato bar, with mostly sheltered outdoor seats by the walkway, and a very Instagram-worthy alfresco seats under the sky. [Read more here…]

Ballad of Anna May
The barber and coffee space along Craig Road is home to Ballad of Anna May, which uses coffee beans from Proud Mary based in Melbourne. It is really a takeaway concept as there are just a few outdoor tables by the walkway, where you can also expect to grab bites like four cheese toastie and pastrami toastie.
Address: 42 Craig Road, Singapore 089680
Main Street Commissary
A cosy specialty coffee space in Little India, Main Street Commissary spots an inviting spade decked in mainly wooden tones and grey hues. While the food menu is limited to pastries instead of a full fledge brunch menu, it is a quiet spot for a coffee refuel if you are in the vicinity.
Address: 81 Rowell Road, Singapore 208014
Bonding Kitchen
Located at Orchard Gateway, Bonding Kitchen is a modern Peranakan restaurant helmed by chef-owner Danny Chew. The restaurant has ample natural lighting in the day, and the inspiration behind the space is for diners to bond over a meal here. Expect dishes like Wagyu Beef Rendang, Nasi Goreng Buah Keluak and Hokkien Lor Ark.
