Food Scoops: Dining Concepts To Expect At The New Hilton Singapore Orchard | From Estate to Ginger Lily To Osteria Mozza

What’s Buzzing? If you have been following the hotel news in Singapore, the biggest new hotel opening this year has to be Hilton Singapore Orchard which took over what used to be Mandarin Orchard Singapore. It is a major overhaul of the space, from the lobby to all the rooms in the property, and of course, the dining concepts.

What To Expect? For fans of Chatterbox, rejoice as this award wining concept is here to stay, along with Two Michelin Starred Shisen Hanten by Chef Chen Kentaro. New dining concepts to expect are Estate, a modern all-day dining buffet restaurant, and Ginger Lily, an elegant botanical-inspired lounge and bar offering artisanal tea and patisserie by day, and curated wines and cocktails by night.

I managed to have a preview of some of the dishes at both Estate and Ginger Lily, where you can expect the likes of Black Truffle Roasted Duck, Honey Soy Glazed Australian Short Ribs, Squid Ink Tagliatelle with Octopus Confit and an unmissable dessert, The Ginger Lily. The dishes are promising to say the least.

Both Estate and Ginger Lily are inspired by the history and pedigree of the early years of Orchard Road, an area that was once abundant with spice plantations, fruit trees and flower nurseries.

Another heavyweight new opening is Osteria Mozza by celebrated American chef Nancy Silverton, where the menu will feature a reinvigorated menu of winning Italian classics from Silverton’s original, one-Michelin-starred outpost in Los Angeles as well as newly crafted dishes for Singapore.

Hilton Singapore Orchard is set to open on 1 March 2022.
