Food Review: Kelantan Kway Chap • Pig’s Organ Soup At Berseh Food Centre | Delicious Michelin Bib Gourmand Hawker Stall In Jalan Besar
The Place I love Kway Chap and Kelantan Kway Chap • Pig’s Organ Soup located at Berseh Food Centre is one which I have only tried for the first time recently after it made into the Michelin Bib Gourmand 2022 list. Located on level two of the hawker centre in Jalan Besar, the unassuming stall serves up Kway Chap and various braised dishes, including braised duck.

The airy hawker centre is split into two levels, and it is conveniently located close to Jalan Besar MRT Station.

The Food The Kway Chap starts from S$5 for one person, while the Pig’s Organ Soup goes from S$4.50. Other dishes to expect include Braised Pig’s Trotters (from S$5.50) and Braised Duck Meat (from S$5). I had the Kway Chap for two persons and the Braised Beancurd Skin (from S$2).

My platter of braised dishes includes braised Pork Belly, Tofu, Pig’s Skin and Egg.

I love the braised flavour here, especially for the pork belly where the meat is tender and flavourful.

The Kway Chap itself spots a robust flavour from the broth, where the silky-smooth flat-sheet ‘kway’ is delicious.

The broth is also not too salty, and I find myself finishing every bit of it.

Rants Nothing to rant about.
Will I Return Again? Service is fast and friendly and for a delicious bowl of Kway Chap in Jalan Besar, a definite yes for me.
