The Place I love Chee Cheong Fun and it is always nice to stumble upon a good one. Xin Kee Hong Kong Cheong Fun (鑫记港式肠粉) located on level one of Golden Mile Food Centre is a relatively new few months old hawker stall I tried recently, which serves a concise menu of the classic Hong Kong dim sum dish, Chee Cheong Fun. 

The Food There are just a couple of Chee Cheong Fun flavours to go for and you can expect classic flavours like Char Siew Cheong Fun (S$3.50), Prawn Cheong Fun (S$4), along with interesting ones such as Hong Kong Style Cheong Fun (S$3) and Chai Poh Cheong Fun (S$3). Each order is freshly prepared, and it is always nice for me to watch how each sheet of the rice roll is thinly sliced.

I love a good Hong Kong Style Cheong Fun which the nearby Michelin Bib Gourmand stall Sing Lung HK Cheong Fun also serves. The peanut butter and sweet sauce are amazing.

Firstly, it is drizzled in an OCD-approved style, impeccably neat looking. Secondly, it tastes really good with a good balance of the peanut and sweet flavours. The texture of the rice roll itself is silky and soft, as per what I expected. 

I also had the Char Siew Cheong Fun which is a more standard and popular option. The rice rolls are filled with generous portions of thinly sliced char siew meat which makes it easy to stomach. The Cheong Fun sauce itself is relatively light and not too sweet. 

Rants It might take a while for the orders to be completed if it gets busy, since each order is freshly prepared. 

Will I Return Again? It is great that I managed to stumble upon Xin Kee Hong Kong Cheong Fun which is a good new addition to Golden Mile Food Centre. Prices are inexpensive for Chee Cheong Fun and the quality is better than some Chinese restaurants.
