Food Scoops: The Most Beautiful Restaurants In Singapore To Check Out

Singapore – We are always on the lookout for beautiful restaurants to check out in Singapore, be it for a birthday or any celebratory meals. Here are some of the most beautiful restaurants to check out in Singapore.

Forage
Nestled within Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree, Forage restaurant is quite a destination dining. Helmed by Chef de Cuisine Marcus Tan who has over a decade of fine dining and Michelin-calibre experience, the dining concept of Forage is harvest-to-table experience, shaped by what is freshly foraged and sourced from the markets. The space of Forage is gorgeous with a view that overlooks the lake and forest. Intricately crafted stone tile carvings of native birds and wildlife adorn the walls along with soft ambient lighting. For the menu, only tasting menus are available for dinner service, where you get to choose from the five-course Discovery Menu (S$138) or eight-course Experience Menu (S$198).

Address: 60 Mandai Lake Road, Level 4, Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree, Singapore 729979

1-Alfaro
1-Group’s newest concept is located on level 34 of Labrador Tower, and it boasts a gorgeous dining view of Singapore’s southern sea view no less. There are two distinct experiences at 1-Alfaro: La Torre is the dining room serving Italian cuisine with a focus on cuisine from Emilia-Romagna in Northern Italy where you can expect dishes like fried lasagna and handmade pastas such as Fettuccine flat egg pasta; while La Luna is a rooftop restaurant and bar concept.

Address: 1 Pasir Panjang Road, #34-00 Labrador Tower, Singapore 118479

Asu
Located within Labrador Nature Reserve is Asu, a ‘Progressive Asian Cuisine’ restaurant helmed by Chef Ace Tan. The space of Asu is gorgeous to say the least. We love the wabi-sabi theme interior, especially the centrepiece grand arc of the Chef’s Dining Table which accommodates up to 15 diners. It is an open concept kitchen where you get a full glimpse of the kitchen action. There are also other interesting features in the zen interior such as the custom-made Chinese apothecary medicine cabinet set in the wall which showcases some of the ingredients used here, as well as the paintings on the wall which signify the current Autumn season. Le Pristine Singapore
A New Italian cuisine dining concept by celebrated Dutch Chef Sergio Herman, also his debut in Southeast Asia, you can access Le Pristine from the Grand Hyatt Singapore’s grand stairway at its lobby entrance, or access via the escalator and you will be greeted by a cool beyond words walkway tunnel which makes you feel like a supermodel. The whole concept and design of the restaurant is quite cool in my opinion, and it feels more than just a restaurant. The strong design elements are visible from the huge open kitchen which makes me think I am watching a scene straight out of Netflix Culinary Class Wars, the red moody lighting at the bar area for pre-dinner or post-dinner drinks, the elegant interior of the private dining rooms, and more. A meal here feels like a complete package. [Read more here for our full review]

Sushisamba
Situated in the heart of Singapore’s business district, Sushisamba Singapore is located at level 52 of Capital Tower in Tanjong Pagar and is currently the only Asia outpost of the famous brand where the brand also has presence in cities like London, Dubai and Las Vegas. The interior of Sushisamba is quite like a tropical garden for me, complemented by a 360 degrees panoramic views of Singapore with its stunning floor-to-ceiling windows. It is a contemporary and stylish design with sleek lines, warm lighting, and pops of tropical colors which create a cool, upscale atmosphere that feels both sophisticated and energetic. In addition to the main dining room, there is also a bar area, a mezzanine level which is the space of Samba Bar which serves exclusive cocktails, along with three private dining rooms. [Read more here for our full review]

Restaurant Born
Restaurant Born by Chef Zor Tan is a fine addition to the vibrant fine-dining scene in Singapore. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful – high ceiling, contemporary and elegant, with the main dining hall spotting a counter seating which overlooks the open kitchen directly. The paper sculpture in the main dining hall is the centrepiece of the restaurant and it draws the eye to the high ceiling of the space which glows from the skylight. Pangium
How often do we get a standalone restaurant in Singapore, not to mention one which is nestled in a UNESCO World Heritage Site? Located within The Orangery at the Gallop Extension of the Singapore Botanic Gardens, a private road leads the path to Pangium, a beautiful space surrounded by lush greenery by Chef-Owner Malcolm Lee and the COMO Group. Chef Malcolm is also behind Candlenut, a One-Michelin star Peranakan restaurant in Dempsey. Contemporary Straits cuisine is the ethos at Pangium where you can expect a series of snacks, mains and sharing dishes. Roia
Located at the heritage building EJH Corner House within Singapore’s Unesco World Heritage Botanic Gardens, Roia is a fine-dining restaurant which occupied what used to be Corner House. The interior of the restaurant is elegant, while the terrace tables are the best, especially in the day with ample natural light streaming into the space. You also get a lush dining view since the venue is surrounded by beautiful tropical trees. [Read more here for our full review

Riviera
This is easily one of the best dining views in Singapore. Riviera is a contemporary Mediterranean and European restaurant located at One Fullerton. The interior of Riviera is elegant where every table gets a view of Singapore’s skyline and some of the most iconic landmarks in the city such as the Merlion in close proximity, Marina Bay Sands, Esplanade, Singapore Flyer, and essentially the whole Marina Bay waterfront. The best seats in the house are definitely the tables right beside the window. [Read more here for our full review]

Claudine Restaurant
It took over the space of the now defunct The White Rabbit, Claudine by Odette’s Chef Julien Royer is gorgeous. The interior revamp of the space at Claudine is perhaps worth half your spendings at the restaurant. The upper half of the chapel has been painted with a very bold dark red colour, while the lower half takes on a more French countryside colour palate of light brown and beige. The configuration of the restaurant also makes it ideal for date nights for a relatively more casual French dishes. [Read more here for our full review]

Fysh
Fysh at Edition is the Marriott Bonvoy’s property all-day dining restaurant by acclaimed Australian restaurateur and chef Josh Niland. This is Chef Josh Niland first restaurant outside of Australia, and it features sustainable seafood-focused steakhouse menu alongside responsibly sourced vegetables and meats.  The interior of Fyse is gorgeous where you get a high ceiling with great natural light in the day, especially along the tables right beneath the garden theme glass ceiling. It is an elegant dining ambience which counts as one of the most beautiful restaurant interiors in Singapore for me. The main dining room seats 80 across intimate jade velvet banquettes and booths with Calacutta white marble tables. At the centrepiece of Fysh is a custom art piece by artist Christian Furr which sits over the bar, an abstract painting which depicts the early settlers in Singapore. [Read more here for our full review]

Jiak Kim House
If you recall the old Zouk, then this is a dining space which brings back memories. Jiak Kim House is located within 1920s conservation warehouse on Jiak Kim Street along Singapore river where Zouk used to be, nestled within Frasers Property Singapore’s integrated precinct with Fraser Residence River Promenade and residential development Rivière.The interior of the 120-seater restaurant Jiak Kim House is gorgeous to say the least. It is a beautiful east meets west interior design with a very high ceiling, so you get that spacious and vast dining setting in the main dining room with rattan furnishing and pictures of Singapore on the walls. For events and bigger dining groups, there is also a private dining room. [Read more here for our full review]

Cote Korean Steakhouse
One of New York City’s most coveted restaurants and America’s first Korean Steakhouse which opened in Como Orchard. Located on level three of Como Orchard, where the entrance of the restaurant starts from the edgy looking “lush” Millim Bar. This is a pre-dinner spot, or you can just get a drink here even if you are not planning to dine at Cote. The moody, seductive interiors of the Main Dining Hall are also consistent with the restaurant’s New York flagship, designed by acclaimed architecture studio Modellus Novus. Each table comes with a state-of-the-art ‘smokeless’ charcoal grills and the best part is that each cut is cooked by Cote’s highly trained servers. We like the booth setting as it creates a nice privacy for each table even though it is a big dining hall. [Read more here for our full review]

Air Restaurant
Located at Dempsey, Air (which stands for Awareness, Impact and Responsibility) is a new restaurant and multi-space concept which occupies a sprawling 40,000-sq-ft barracks complex that used to serve as a clubhouse for civil servants. The two-storey building houses the Restaurant, Research Space and Cooking Club, where the restaurant is helmed by Chef Matthew Orlando, founder of Amass in Copenhagen, where Chef Matthew was also previously in the team of Noma in Copenhagen and Per Se in New York City. The dining space on level one is relaxed and casual with a view of either the lush greenery for the regular tables, or the open kitchen if you are seated at the counter seats. The second floor is a more intimate 45-seat dining area overlooking the lawn. [Read more here for our full review]

Firangi Superstar
You don’t get a cinematic dining experience in Singapore often and Firangi Superstar along Craig Road is all out to redefine that notion. The Indian restaurant doesn’t play on the traditional Indian dishes, but redefines Indian cuisine through the lens of a foreigner. The space is pretty dramatic as well. There are four themed rooms, starting with the Officer’s Club at the entrance, proceeding to the Old Railway Room, followed by the opulence of the Elephant Palace, and finally Jungle Lodge. Every room is full of character, and while it seems like an eclectic mix of decorations, it all gels well together like a posh mansion. In all aspects, it feels like a cinematic escape which can be quite romantic. Nobu Singapore
The setting of Nobu Singapore is beautiful, a renowned dining concept by celebrity chef and restaurateur. It is located on level 3 of Four Seasons Hotel Singapore where the space features a designer outdoor Japanese garden which you need to walk past before reaching the main restaurant building. The interior of Nobu Singapore exudes contemporary Japanese style, with wooden finishings and is also the world’s first Nobu restaurant to feature a Chef’s Table as part of a private dining space within the restaurant. The main dining hall spots a high ceiling and is elegant looking, complete with private dining rooms and two customised Teppanyaki private rooms. For the food, it New-Style Japanese cuisine, mainly split into cold and hot dishes, tempura, sushi maki, sashimi and desserts. Ocean Restaurant
Touted to be Southeast Asia’s only underwater dining experience, this is a romantic restaurant in Resorts World Sentosa if you seek comfort dining amidst the sea of marine animals. The best seats are inevitably the ones right beside the glass window, where you can expect Manta Rays and Baby Sharks to stare into your face. Otherwise, most of the other tables in the restaurant give a good view of the aquarium. For marine lovers, there are approximately 40,000 marine animals behind those thick glass. Vue
This is the city dining kind of romantic venue if you are into city views (though less so if you already enjoy the same view from your office building). The restaurant’s interior is amazing with the high arch ceiling which makes the whole dining space like a sophisticated tunnel, where its interior light dances occasionally by changing colours, like aurora just to exaggerate a little. 1-Atico
The interior of 1-Atico is gorgeous which houses three concepts – Fire, Flnt and Atico Lounge. The high ceiling lends the whole space with ample natural light, and the highlight is definitely the panoramic city view as well.
