Food Review: Niku Niku Oh!! Kome At Weave at Resorts World Sentosa | Popular Japanese Hamburg Steak Debuts In Singapore

The Place The latest dining concept to open at Weave at Resorts World Sentosa, Niku Niku Oh!! Kome is a popular Japanese hamburg steak concept which is making its debut this August in Singapore. It is located right behind the highly anticipated Pierre Herme Singapore, which just opened last week.

Opened in 2022 by Japan’s top-listed F&B company, Monogatari Corporation, Niku Niku Oh!! Kome has over 40 outlets worldwide, including mainland China, Hong Kong, Jakarta and Manilla. The Singapore outlet is a partnership between Monogatari Corporation and Putien.

The space of the Singapore outlet is casual and one of the key dining experiences here is that diners sit around a teppan and watch chefs shape and grill their hamburg steaks.

The Food The hamburg steaks are made from carefully selected aged beef, ground fresh daily, while the specially sourced rice is milled fresh in-store every day.

Prepare your sauce and seasoning before your hamburg steak is being served. You can cook the hamburg steak on the heated plate to your preference. Sauce options include the likes of Onion Sauce, Barbecue Sauce and the Aurora Sauce which is a mild sauce mixed with tomato and mayonnalse.

This is essentially a hamburg steak teppan experience. The beef patties are grilled on a blazing teppan right before being served sizzling on your personal hot plate.

Each 90g – 95g hamburg steak is handcrafted daily from a premium blend of wet aged ribeye and beef brisket for maximum juiciness and a rich, deep flavour.

The hamburg steak is available in three variations: Original, Cheese (covered in melted cheddar cheese and freshly grated Grana Padano) and seasonal Avocado Tartar (topped with avocado slices, tartar and teriyaki sauces).

For those eager to savour all the flavours, opt for the Assorted Hamburg Steak Set featuring all three flavours at S$22.80

Priced from S$16.80, each set includes a pasteurized egg along with unlimited servings of miso soup, grilled vegetables, and rice featuring a blend of Japanese Niji no Kirameki rice and Vietnamese jasmine rice.

The rice arrives with its husk intact to preserve freshness and nutrition. It is then deshelled and polished in-house for maximum freshness to balance the rich hamburg steaks.

The S$16.80 set gets you two original beef patties, and I must say the beef is quite juicy and flavourful even without any sauces.

The cheese option is topped with a slice of cheddar cheese and then showered with freshly grated Grana Padano. It looks like an overflowing mountain of cheese, but it is not overly cheesy for me.

Rants As the meat is also placed on your personal hot pan in front of you, be mindful of not letting it rest too long else it gets overcooked easily. The dining space at the counter is also quite tight between diners.

Will I Return Again? A very decent casual dining option to go for in RWS, especially if you love Japanese food and beef patties. The price point is also very wallet friendly for RWS with the most basic set priced at just under S$20.

So this is not Hikiniku to Come… so many influencers are making it sound like it’s that famous chain in Japan. Wonder if this is Chinese investors or from U.S? The interior and presentation do look like the original though.
