Barrel Story Of Hibiki
Located in the heart of Raffles Place, a new modern and refined Japanese izakaya dining concept has taken over the now-defunct Rosemead. Meet Barrel Story Of Hibiki, the first Hibiki-led concept restaurant to open outside of Japan. This new modern izakaya is helmed by renowned chef-partner Sho Naganuma, and its interior is gorgeous. Open for both lunch and dinner, choose from their a la carte menu or their Signature Set (S$68 per person). For lunch, it also offers customised Two-course (S$55) or Three-course (S$63) set from a handpicked selection of lunch dishes. Beverage is a big thing here, as it offers one of the most extensive collections of Suntory whiskies in Asia, featuring Hibiki Japanese Harmony alongside the distinguished 21 Years Old and 30 Years Old expressions. Jellyfish Sushi
A hidden dining concept nestled within Artichoke in New Bahru, I checked out the new Jellyfish Sushi, a ten-seat counter by chef-owner Bjorn Shen which opened in January this month located at the back of Artichoke’s main dining space. Priced at $165++ per person, expect up to 12-courses for the omakase menu which evolves every few months. For beverages, you can expect a good selection of Sakes on the menu. Medusa Osteria Romana
Located at JW Marriott Hotel at South Beach Road, I checked out Medusa Osteria Romana, the third and latest concept by Fortuna Group following Fortuna Italian Trattoria & Pizzeria and Fortuna Terrazza Cafe. The first thing which struck me was the loud red hue theme of Medusa where its interior is a play on Rome’s 1960s vintage luxury era – crimson walls, LED lights and cheeky portraits. The concept is also Singapore’s first-ever Osteria Romana with a focus on Roman cuisine. [Read more here for our full review]

Patchwork Kitchen
A rather new secret dining spot in Singapore, I checked out Patchwork Kitchen, a new contemporary East-Asian bistro at 42 South Bridge Road. The restaurant is located on level five, in the same building as South Bridge Reserve, an invite-only members’ club curated for Burgundy lovers. The cuisine here blends East-Asian flavours with approachable bistro formats, available for lunch and dinner. The drinks menu is a curated wine selection that includes Asian wines and Asian winemakers with a relaxed drinking culture such as cocktails in a can. [Read more here for our full review]

Elephant Grounds
New cafe from Hong Kong opens in Bugis and here is Elephant Grounds located at Guoco Midtown I. As one of the renowned cafe & lifestyle brands from Hong Kong, most of the mains are priced below S$20 which is great in Singapore’s cafe context. The coffee is expectedly good, especially the Americano Air we had! Sheltered outdoor terrace is pets-friendly too!
Address: 124 Beach Road, #01-04 Guoco Midtown, Singapore 189771

Living Room
A new hidden coffeeshop in Chinatown, as it is hidden in the sense it is located at the back of a retail space where there is a nondescript back door entrance (you can also enter from the front). Living Room is a new spot to go for coffee and light bites where we had their Basque cheesecake. Cosy vibes if you prefer a coffee spot which is less mainstream.
