Food Review: L’entrecote @ Duxton Hill
The Place Tucked at a stone’s throw from Tanjong Pagar station, Duxton Hill is an underrated gem in Singapore which houses a wide variety of restaurants, notably Korean and Western fares. After hearing much rave reviews about it, I finally made my way to L’entrecote with much anticipation.
The Food For appetisers, we chose to have the Foie Gras as I am a huge fan of it. I was pleasantly surprised by the palatable taste of the Foie Gras as well as the generous serving. At $19, this is definitely a must order appetiser as it is one of the best Foie Gras I have had in Singapore.
Watch out non Steak eaters, as the unique menu of L’entrecote is such that there is only one main dish available – the L’entrecote Steak. The tender Steak comes in two servings to my pleasant surprise, perfectly complimented by the free flow of Steak Frites. I would highly recommend having the Steak done Medium-rare to fully appreciate its succulent taste. At $29, this is reasonably priced in my opinion.
Will I return again? Yes – as I like the fact that there is such a fine French casual dining restaurant which offers value for money food at the heart of Singapore yet away from the mainstream crowd.
